Realisation hit like a thunder

Mohini POV

"Rajkumari ji aap theek h"

I heard faded voices in my unconsciousness . Just as I tried to open my eyes again the splashes of water hit my face and made me more attentive .

I opened my eyes to see the physician holding my wrist and examining my pulses while kajal was splashing water on my face slowly with a worries look on her face.

Just as I regained my consciousness back ,  I sat immediately and held my head as it was hurting badly.

Kajal immediately brought me water and I gulped it in one go. I have to get my act together, I just can't be this weak and miserable.

The physician opened his bag and gave some herbs to kajal and told her to mix them in water before giving it to me.

He looked at me sharply and said with a serious voice

"Your maid told me that you can't remember anything, it is common to sometimes lose your memory for a period of time after such a terrific fall from such height rajkumari ji. "

I just nodded looking at him trying to hide my panic state in front of him .

Kajal brought a small bowl in front of me and asked me to drink the medicine from it. I brought the bowl near my lips, my hands were still trembling from the shock.

Kajal asked the physician with a concerned  voice

" When will rajkumari ji regain her memories vaidya ji "

He slightly scratched his forehead probably trying to think of something. He sighed and answered

" It depends from person to person, the only thing that we can do is help her to regain her memories back as soon as possible by telling her about her life more and more"

Kajal nodded slightly and then the physician left the chamber after bowing in front of me. He left few herbs and handed it over to kajal and told her to give me the medicine from time to time.

I slowly tried to get up from the bed but the pain in my head was so sharp that I again sat at the edge of the bed.

"Don't move mohini, you are still very weak"

Kajal said in a concerning voice while holding my shoulder.

"What happened with me ?" I asked her softly .

She inhaled a deep breath and sighed
While answering with tears in her eyes

" You fell from the balcony mohini, you were unconscious for 16 days . You lost lot of blood. The physician said that we could not save you but I knew that you would not go this easily. I trusted you mohini that you would come back. "

I looked at her blankly while trying to digest the information she just gave me. From what I can comprehend is that, that the real princess mohini fell off from the balcony and went into coma or something. I guess I also got into the accident around the same time.

Soo it means that most probably mine and princess mohini souls were mixed up. Or is it that princess mohini is already dead ? Or am I dead in my real life?

Soo many questions were blurring my mind . There were so many theories about what could have happened to me. It sounds soo filmy and dramatic.

I still couldn't believe that I have time travellled to 700 yrs before in time.
I thought it was only in fiction where the protagonist could time travel . But here I am. I do wonder if I am the first time traveller in the world.
