Jigsaws falling into place

It's the last day of freshman year, and Megumi isn't afraid to say he won't miss anyone here.

The whole day the school does 'fun activities' and lets the kids talk all period. It was like hell on earth for Megumi. Hearing the people he hates keep blabbing on about absolutely nothing angered him. He despises everyone at this school, they are dumb and annoy him just by being in his presence.

But on the plus side, a lot of them seem to be moving away this summer for an unknown reason. He won't have to deal with the ones leaving anymore.

The last bell rings and people scramble to get their stuff to leave the building. He picks up his bag and leaves his seat and into the cacophony of the hallway just like the rest of his class.

Squished between two smelly athletic guys he sees the reason for the blockade.

"I'm gonna miss you so much Mizuki." The brunette sobs out onto the other girls shoulder.

Mizuki brushes through her hair with her fingers and gently pushes her backwards, "I'll miss you too. I'll miss the whole school, especially the boys, they are all so hot." She jokes

"Well, maybe except that boy Megumi in your class."
Winking at the friends surrounding her, hugging all of them one by one and saying her goodbyes.

He doesn't care that she mocks him, or that she hints at his ugliness in her joke. But he does care that she's blocking the door that leads out of the school building. Which he has been waiting to walk out of all day. All he wants is to get home and see his 2 dogs, both husky's.

One is rarely fully black and the other has an even rarer completely white coat , they match eathother quite well. Not just in looks but also in personality. He's not sure he'll ever see them again though, thanks to the huge group of girls who just won't move. Couldn't they do this outside?

"Excuse me." He walks up to them, voice cracking mid-sentence.

They look at him disgusted, like he just spat on them, which he very much wants to do if they don't move. They then being to laugh, looking at eachother almost to say, 'wow what's he doing here'.

"I'm so sorry Megumi." The girl just crying calls out for all her friends and ones around her to hear, putting her hands on her hips and grinning.

First mocking his girlish name she then begins to excessively apologize, insincerely.

"I'm so so sooo sorry Megumi, we shouldn't have been in the lords way, so sorry Megumi!"

He mutters out quietly, not wanting to cause anything, and he forces his voice not to squeak, "as you should be," pushing his way through them and looks back at them laughing again.

"We couldn't hear you Megumi!" She folds over chuckling with her hideous smile and waves at him.

Megumi knows hes ugly. It's not that bothering him, not at all. It's the way he gets treated because he is ugly. He knows he's short and scrawny, he knows he has a hallow face with big glasses and acne, with impossibly flat hair.

He doesn't need to be reminded of it every second, he doesn't care about any of that. All he ever cared about was getting into a good college and moving out of this city.

The thing that keeps him motivated is the people around him. How these people who made fun of him will one day be below him, working for him. All while he looks down from his chair, seeing them work for the rest of their life's at his feet. They won't get anywhere in life, that's the thought that gets him to do his best in school work and in life. He scoffs to himself.

Leaving the school alone he again thinks of this house and the summer that awaits.

He drags his feet along the floor, looking around him. He's by himself. Nobody who walks home lives on this side of town. On either side he's surrounded by the line of trees. It's nice to not talk with anyone and just encompass yourself with your own thoughts, so he enjoys his walks home.
