Narrator POV

a day after robbery

There are a few things to note about Ethan. One, he knows how to appreciate and identify talent better than anyone else. He knows, trying to find Reaper is like searching for a rainbow on a starry night. And second, nobody gets to mess with him. Instead of wasting their time tracking down Reaper, the O'Connor's have decided to call Reaper to themselves.

Elijah sighed, his thumb on his nose, shaking his head. He almost regretted his decision to go away for the weekend with his wife. Whenever he takes a break, chaos ensues. His son just got robbed, and his daughter has introduced him to her fifth boyfriend this year. He mentally notes to remind her again that boys have cooties. It doesn't sit right with him that his daughter is wasting her time with those absolute peanuts.

"I was just about to call you, Dad," Ethan said, nudging Julian to unlock the computers in their penthouse's control room. The room is semi-large, filled with high-tech computer screens and keyboards on one side, and an open cupboard stacked with files on the other side.

"We are going to send out a bait to lure reaper towards us," he started explaining. "We are going to create a fake mission. A mission so tempting he can never reject it and, of course, with a fake enormous price."

"But if we contact reaper with this mission, he will know it at once. It's a trap," chimed in Alec. Riko's smug grin turned into a picture of Adan Diaz, causing Elijah's face to contort in disgust. Probably reminding him of how many times he got in trouble by saving his ass.

"I know what he looks like," he said and snorted as he moved the phone away from his face.

"Dad, you remember the tragedy of 2018"? questioned Ethan, receiving a knowing hum from Elijah. "Well, we have knowledge that Reaper eliminated all his targets except one that day," he said, while presenting the details of the said target on the big screen in front of him. We will generate fake information about his whereabouts, then deliver it to reaper. He will come crawling to us to negotiate the price of his death"

"hmm good I will let Diaz know.". Elijah walked away, already dialing the number on his cell.

Aiden Diaz is their strongest and oldest ally. He mostly lives in Barcelona, Spain, with his family. The O'Connor's help them by insuring proper arrival of their cargo ships and planes in America or passing through America without getting caught by the TSA or coast guard. While Diaz returns the favor by convincing his other European allies to purchase more goods from them, enhancing their global connections.

Present Day

"What about this one", "Nah, check this one out". The guess game continues for almost 30 minutes before selecting their top 3 'can be Reaper' people. First, the man in the suit, smoking in the corner. Second, the lady in the sporty all back attire in the card room because according to Julian she looks as beautiful as Reaper's crime. Thirdly, the lady in the black dress smoking her second cigarette along with a glass of whiskey at the bar. Personally picked by Ethan as he would never admit could not take his eyes off her whether her dress, or her flows red tresses. He secretly wished her not to be reaper also he secretly glared at Riko when he made a comment on how she looks like a perfect match for himself.

"Send the message, Julian," he ordered. Keeping their focus on the three screens, they watched for any sign of movement from their suspects. They were waiting for someone to make a move and head towards the designated meeting place on the first floor. After five solid minutes, no one budged. Doubt began to creep in as their suspects remained motionless in their seats. Ethan's eyes were fixed on the redhead, his heart silently pleading with her not to get up. Unknown to him, Alec's sharp eyes caught every secret glance, already eager to spill the beans to his aunt. To their dismay, no one made a move for over 30 minutes. Not a soul in the hotel seemed interested in entering the meeting room. They all sat and chatted in their respective places.

"Alright, enough. We're going to pay the three of them a visit. Alec, you go to the card room. Dylan, you go to the smoking area. I'll talk to the redhead," Ethan ordered. "Keeping the best for yourself, huh boss? Maybe I should come with you. What do you say?" interjected Riko, only to be met with a glare and a curt "zip it, Riko" as he left the room. "Don't worry, we'll have fun," teased Julian. "You gross me out, gay," retorted Riko, receiving a playful wink from Julian.
