"He practically had GLOWING eyes!"
After a blurry night, the girl is resting in a nearby random hospital she doesn't recognise . Blood transfusions are flowing throughout her body. There's layers upon layers of thick bandages around her chest, it's hard for her to breathe. She's scared to move because she's scared that it would cause so much pain. Shes now blankly staring at the ceiling at the ceiling while she's talks to a detective. Trying to collect her thoughts. "He was wearing a mask for the entire time I knew him." she shuts her eyes, lowering her voice. "I wish I got more information about him..." she softly says."So Michelle, his name is Oliver, white male with hazel eyes," The detective lists. He sits at the edge of the room with his old notebook, plus a noticeable coffee stain. His voice is husky, clearing his throat each time he speaks. Wearing a button-up country shirt, baggy belted pants and leather boots. With the lots of layers of wrinkles on his face. "From late teens to early 20s." He stops to look up at Michelle. "Are you sure there are no other details?" He says with a tough tone. Michelle blinks twice, her pearly green eyes twitching. "No." She reply's. The man fixes his posture, groaning quite loudly. "Do you know about the..." he stops to think. "Eyes of malevolence killer?" He asks. That name immediately rings a bell in Michelle's mind. Now everything is making sense. "Are you KIDDING me?" She says in a full tone, it's almost like she would slap her face with how much this is taking a crazy toll. The detective immediately takes the hint that she knows who he is. He gets up, wiping any rubbers that were on his lap. As he opens the door he asks, "We're mostly done here, is there anything else you want to say?" He doesn't get a response, just groans or disbelief. "Definitely." She answers, attempting to at least raise an arm while the man leaves quietly.
When the man walks out of the room, he's satisfied that he finally has a reliable lead for his case. He tightens his brown belt before looking left and right. Michelle's mum is to the right of the hallway, sitting on a frail chair with her arms crossed around her shoulders. Her half brown, half white hair covers just her neck. She's only wearing a t-shirt with a random label and clean jeans. Only staring into the distance. The man walks up to her.
"Ms. Martinez?" She glances at him, her eyes lowered but her dark green eyes still visible. "Yes?" She immediately puts emphasis on her words. The man sits down. "Your daughter has consented to being involved with this case," he says, removing his glasses, "and obviously, as we discussed before, you are too. Am I correct here?" He gestures with his glasses."I believe so." She's closed off, hiding her anger. "We are going to have to maintain close, if not complicated, contact with law enforcement. This includes me." He points to himself. Michelle's mums eyebrows curve more down.
"Listen, I don't care if this whole... process takes years," she defiantly says. "All I care about is catching that evil son of a bitch and throwing him 6 feet down in the grave." Her cheeks are puff, she's now bold with her words. He pauses as the silence is starting getting awkward. "Sorry, I'm just angry." Her voice depends dramatically, then looks away from the detective as she crosses her arms. "It's okay to feel angry." The detective's voice lowers with her. He finally gets up, closing his crusty notebook and dropping his pencil and pen in his pocket that's half untied sewing is showing. Walking away without a word. After a while, Michelle's mum gets up, She tries to take the frown off her face and put on a smile for her daughter. She knows she's been through a lot and how hard it must be to deal with the trauma of being literal backstabbed by a boy she liked. She twists the silver door nob, then slowly pushes the door open. Michelle seems to be asleep. It's a surprise to her mum, as the big bandage on her chest must make it hard to breathe. Her mum walks closer to the bed, seeing her daughter still as beautiful as she remembered. She blankly stairs at her for what seems like forever, then suddenly Michelle speaks. "I'm awake by the way," her mum squeals, she sees Michelle smiling. "Baby, you scared me!" Her mum giggles. Michelle chuckles. "Sorry," she say jokingly. "It's okay." She says buzzing her lips. Then kneeling down. "Are you okay?" Her mum looks up. Michelle's smile stays. "I guess, I mean I'm breathing, so I'm sure I'll be fine!" Michelle says in a positive voice. Her mum feels like she's gonna shed a tear, but she sucks it up.
"Baby?" Her mum asks softly, Michelle's face widens but doesn't respond. "I know... this is hard. I don't even know how you're able to even smile through that fact you have... 30 stab wounds." Her mum strokes her hair back. " but it's going to be alright. We will find this guy and kick his butt!" She pumps her fist in the air. Michelle rests her face, smiling again. "Yeah... but we'll see." she whispers under her breath. Her mum drops her arms down, holding a small smile. She gets up and sits back at a chair that was behind her. She takes a big sigh.
Now it's silence between the two. "Soo, when do you think I'll get out of here?" Michelle asks in a louder tone. "Oh honey I don't know, maybe it'll take 10 years!" her mum chuckles, letting out a loud snort. Michelle lets out a fake laugh. "Haha, you're very funny." She sarcastically says. "I know!" Her mums chuckles turn into laughter, Michelle just rolls her eyes. Mid laughter she speaks again. "You know what I said to that old roadmap out there?" Her mum adds, having a comedic attitude to her voice. "Oh my god mum!" Michelle is now visible annoyed and embarrassed by her mum. "I told him that if I even find this guy... he's going STRAIGHT to the grave!" She cackles proudly. Now Michelle is just done. Her mum calms down, wiping some of her tears on the shirt. "Oh, you should have seen his face, he probably crapped his pants!" Her cackling continues, her tears coming back for round 2. "Oh I believe the last part." She replies, absolutely done with her mums crazy behaviour. But she still smiles to herself.
