Chapter 5

Shahzad POV

Today was Afiyah's birthday. Shahzain and i pretended the whole day as if we are really busy and had back to back meetings. At first like her every other birthday she came to our room excitedly thinking we would wish her but we pretended as if we forgot today is her b'day.

This was the first time we had not wished her first and we could see that she was disappointed and sadness was clear in her eyes. Shahzain couldn't see her sadness and was about to reveal our plan but i somehow stopped him.

I knew that Afiya was more disappointed that shahzain forgot her birthday because he always pampered her the most. He is really possessive about her. He never allows someone other than me in our family members to call her choti. He always says "Usse choti sirf mein hi bula sakta hoon. Woh sirf meri choti hai". He never let anyone scolded her not even our fathers.

Today's party idea was also his. He challenged me to see who her favorite brother is. But I don't need any challenge to know her favorite brother. He is her favorite brother. She never tells but I know because whenever she gets sad she always goes to Shahzain first and then comes to me. And Shahzain will pamper her by buying her favorite novels or new latest novels and her favorite chocolate and chocolate choco chip ice cream.

We were eating breakfast at the table when Afiyah came and was looking at us with questioning eyes. We knew what she wanted but we didn't give in. After sometime our fathers came and wished her. They gave her two different brand watches with her initial craft in it with diamonds. She shouted as she saw her as they were her favourite brands and we chuckled seeing her drama.

Hearing our chuckled she came out of my father's embrace and glared at us by keeping hands on her hips and was raising one eye brow as if she was trying to make us remember something.

We saw each other and then wished her. Before she could question us Shahzain said we have a meeting and we are running late. Saying that we left after kissing her forehead and Shahzain patting her head.

After sometime we reached her favourite restaurant to make sure all the arrangements were happening to her liking. When we entered there we saw Zayan giving instructions to the manager. Zayan also knew about our plans.

After sometime Shahzain went to buy her favorite car and i went to buy her bracelet. The bracelet wasn't our part of the plan and they didn't know I was buying her bracelet. This might be the first time I didn't tell Shahzain and Zayan.

After buying, I decided to keep it in my car and called Shahzain to come directly at home to bring Afiyah. I reached home and after 10 minutes Shahzain also reached home. We convinced Afiyah for almost half an hour as she wasn't agreeing to come with us because she was upset.

After 45 minutes of convincing Afiyah we reached her favorite restaurant but jot before Shahzain buying her pista green gown because she loves this colour as a token of apology for forgetting her birthday. I rolled my eyes seeing her drama. As soon as we reached the restaurant Afiyah started asking questions. But somehow we made her keep quiet. It's a difficult task to make her keep quiet.

As soon as we entered the restaurant everyone shouted. She was equally surprised to see our Family members, her friends and our family friends. One by one everyone wished her and she received a lot of gifts. After sometime everyone started talking and Afiyah came to us. We were sitting on a sofa talking to each other. Afiyah came and started getting emotional.

We teased her for getting emotional as she is the person who doesn't get emotional quickly. Soon Afiyah and Shahzain started fighting and I had to shout at them to stop because everyone was waiting for cake cutting. She pouted and went to the table where cake was present. She then started seeing everywhere as if she was searching for someone.
