Yn's heart pounded as she and her team wheeled the revived mummy into the medbay. The excitement of their discovery had turned into a frantic scramble to ensure the mummy's survival. The air was thick with the scent of antiseptics and the quiet hum of medical machinery.

"Let's get him settled here," Yn instructed, her voice steady despite the whirlwind of thoughts racing through her mind. She glanced at John, who was adjusting the various monitors and preparing the IVs. David helped move the mummy to a bed.

"Do you think he'll wake up?" David asked, a hint of doubt in his voice as he looked at the ancient figure before them.

"We have to hope," Yn replied, her determination unwavering.

Both Yn and John quickly attached the mummy to the monitors, connected him to the oxygen supply, and inserted IVs. They began removing some of his bandages, revealing patches of skin that seemed impossibly alive. Yn took a moment to examine the mummy's open palm, facing upwards as if reaching for something. David, noticing her focused gaze, watched her curiously.

Yn's mind raced as she tried to comprehend the significance of this moment. This was no ordinary archaeological find; this was a living relic from a world long forgotten. Questions swirled in her mind, especially as she stared at his hand, wondering how he could possibly know her. After what felt like an eternity, she became aware of David's eyes on her.

"It's rude to stare," Yn said gently, breaking the silence.

"Sorry," David replied, a bit sheepish. "It's just... surreal." He gestured to the mummy.

Yn shook herself from her reverie and began taking the mummy's vitals, her hands moving efficiently despite the adrenaline coursing through her veins. The mummy, wrapped in ancient linen but with eyes that were all too alive, lay motionless on the gurney. This was beyond anything she had ever imagined, and she knew their lives were about to change in ways they could never predict.

"He's stable for now," John announced, glancing at the monitors. "But we'll need to keep a close watch."

Yn nodded, her mind already racing ahead to the implications of their discovery. "Let's make sure he's comfortable."

David looked at Yn, his curiosity evident. "Do you think he can communicate? I mean, what if he has knowledge that could change everything we know about ancient Egypt?"

"One step at a time," Yn said, though the thought intrigued her. "First, we ensure his survival. Then we can ask our questions."

Days began to pass, leaving the trio increasingly anxious. David brushed off the dirt from the mummy's open tomb, his voice tinged with worry. "Should we take him back to California? To an actual hospital?"
