When i wake up from my resting sleep, i feel so fresh. I haven't slept like this since a while. Flashbacks of the day come to my mind and i smile at remembering everything he said. The hope that i had lost is finally back. He is also trying to make this marriage work. Its 11 am already when i leave bed and go to the washroom for getting ready for the day. I do my morning routine and get ready. I wear a beautiful black suit for the day to commence with the new beginnings.

When i get down, i notice the house is empty. Where is he? I go towards the study and open the door gently. He is there on his table and looking at his laptop when i enter. He doesnt realise my arrival until i go and stand in front of him.
"Arey Akriti tum uth gayi?"(Akriti you are awake) "Yes...did you have breakfast?" "No..i was waiting for you..come we will eat together, I ordered chhole bhature from a very good place and they are waiting for us.." "Haha..oky lets goo..."
I smile at myself considering he waited for me to getup before having his breakfast. Little steps. Progresss. I feel happy.
He gets up and to my surprise takes my hand in his and takes us both to the dining room where food is already set by the maid. I greet her and thank her. We sit and start eating. Its so delicious.
"How is it?" "Umm...its yummy.." "Yeah it is..but still you make more delicious items..." "I will make the food myself..." "No..i didnt mean that.. the chef has arrived and the food will be taken care of from now onwards.." "But Veer i like cooking" "Ik and you can cook whenever you want and give the chef off when you wish too...but on a regular basis let him continue and you spend the time somewhere else..perhaps with me.." "Oh..okay.."
I blush a little but quickly look down to eat my food. We eat our food in silence and later he hinself takes the dishes and puts them in the dishwasher.
Unaware what to do now as everything is to be done by the maids, i sit in the living room when he comes and joins me there.
"What do you plan to do? You are free and you can do what you wish.." "Ummm idk really...i never thought about it..." "Okay...i guess maybe you could complete your studies...you can get a degree?" "Really? I can do that?" "Yes absolutely.." "But...but i will need to work so that i can pay the tuition fee." "Akriti...you are my wife...you dont need to work to be able to pay your tuition fee, you can work if you want but i am capable enough to pay for your tuition fee and handle all your other expenses. Dont worry about that...tell me which course do you want to persue?" "I always wanted to become a chef...i will love to be a professional one. I guess that would be my degree too." "Alright...you want to attend a regular college or take an online course?" "Online...I always prefer studying alone rather than in a full class." "Okay fine.. i will register you for that today itself." "Thankyou so muchhh" "Now what will be our plans for today? I am free for the day for you. Whatever you want to do, we can do.." "Oh really? Alright then you are under me today...heheheheh.." "Yes madam tell me what do you want to do?" "Ummm can we go for dinner tonight outside?" "Okay as you wish.." "And until then we will watch some movie together.." "Alright so its a movie date and then a dinner date today with my wife." "D..Date??" "Yes wife...a date.." "Okayy...which movie you want to see?" "Its your day today..whatever you wish to see madam" "Okay then lets watch DDLJ!" "Wow its one of my favourites as well.." "Yess and Srk is my favourite but don't be jealous when i look at him with love or affection..." "That i cant resist but i will try..its Srk so i will compromise..."
I chuckle and then switch on ddlj on the tv screen and sit on the sofa with him to watch the movie. Throughout the movie, i feel his gaze upon me rather than the screen but i dont mind it. I enjoy that feeling and watch the movie with full attention. I make him watch the movie in between during my favourite scenes and he smiles at me watching those scenes. My favourite one is definitely the last scene...the train one...jaaa beti jaa apne Raj ke paas jaa..jaa simran jaa jee le apni zindagi.... I recite the dialogues side by side and he watches me in awe every while. I so much enjoy the whole movie date and when it finally gets over, he snuggles closer to me and i let him lie on my lap. We stay like that for a while. I get happy on finally getting the bond i always wanted. Its 7 pm when we both finally get up and decide to change. He takes his clothes and goes to the guestroom while am left in the dilemma to decide what to wear tonight...
