Alastor's POV

~Six Months Later~

I wake up and flip to my side, expecting my beautiful husband beside me, but instead see nothing. The blanket is folded back, showing he isn't there. I do have an idea where he is. I roll my eyes and get dressed. I make the bed and fluff up my ears. I walk downstairs and notice the storage door open. So my suspicions are correct.

He's in the garden again. Always waking up early and digging weeds at 3 am.

I walk to the backyard and look around. He must be around the back area, behind the few trees and taller flowers. Small flowers littered everywhere at the edge of stone rocks and grassy paths. A water fountain sits in the middle of the area. Spewing clear water in four directions into a big decorative bowl. I walk past it, my ears twitching at the calming water sounds. I see two white little feet and smile. There he is.

I walk closer and see him flattening the dirt. He's placed some Osiria Roses. Pretty roses in my opinion. This is the first time I've seen them in his garden. I walk to him and pick him up from his waist. He gasps and drops his shovel.

"Morning, my dear. And how long have you been out here?" I whisper into his ear. He shivers and gulps.

"Possibly a few hours. But! Aren't these pretty? I found out about them and had to get them! You can't blame me!" He stretches his arms out, showing his newest addition. Flowers and plants are like his children I think. Like ducks. He loves his ducks to death and if one is missing, which somehow he knows it is, he'll break down and his only focus is that duck. I tested a few things out with that. Hiding a random duck, seeing if he would notice.

He did.

"Very pretty. Just like you. Now let's wash your hands, I'll make breakfast. I don't need you eating dirt." I start walking away, carrying my little love with my arms wrapped around his chest under his arms. He squirms a bit.

"Will you put me down?" He asks.

"Mmm no. I like carrying you." He doesn't answer and accepts his fate. I walk back into the palace and to the kitchen. I pull out a small stool in front of the sink with my foot and set him on it. "Wash your hands." I kiss his cheek and walk away to start making him pancakes. His favorite. I notice he has a golden blush as he quickly washes the dirt from under his nails. I smirk and pretend not to notice.

After breakfast, we go back out to the garden. He finishes what he was doing before and waters his plants, pulling a few weeds here and there. I read, leaning against an apple tree nearby. Suddenly I feel hot. Weird. I grit my teeth and try to focus on my book. My fingers are gripping onto the book harder. I hate this feeling. The urge I'm getting. I hate it.

"Al, are you alright?" Luci asks, looking at me with concerned eyes. He tilts his head and his eyes widen. I stare back at him, feeling very hot and bothered and confused. "Are you..." he starts mumbling to himself, "He's a deer, it makes sense. But why?"

"What are you talking about?!" I ask harshly, my nails ripping the book's covers slightly.

"I think you're in a rut. I can smell it. Since you're a deer demon a-and a male deer, like yourself, get these ruts. Sooo." My ears fold back. This is a curse. This is karma for all my sins. "I know you're not fond of these things and we don't have to...you know." I bring my knees closer to my chest. Luci slowly gets up and walks towards me. "We could lock you in our room until it's over. Which could take a week maybe. I don't know enough about this type of thing. Let's get you up and into our room."

He reaches his hand out for me. I take it and pull him in. He yelps and I kiss him hungrily. He moans into my mouth, kissing me back passionately. I grip onto his clothing as his forked tongue explores my mouth like it hasn't been there before. He changes his position to straddle me. I grind against him, earning another moan, but it was deep this time. He breaks the kiss, leaving a string of saliva between our mouths.

"Al~ as much as I would love to keep going, you'll hate yourself later and regret it," he says softly. I let out an embarrassing whine, similar to a deer's, and my ears flatten. "Aww. More deer noises." Once he heard me squeak when he touched my tail on accident. "You're so cute behind your scary persona. But seriously, you'll regret it later. I want to respect your boundaries. I know this must be uncomfortable for you, but we'll get through it. Okay?" I give a little nod. Oh how I love this little man in front of me. He kisses my forehead and climbs off of me. He teleports us to our room and hands me a bell. My body wants to ravage this handsome man I'm married to, but the rest of me doesn't want that. "Ring the bell if you need anything. No matter where I am, I'll hear it and come for you. I'll bring you meals everyday until this is over."

"I love you so fucking much."

"I love you too, my deer. I'll see you la-" I pull him into a more needy kiss. I don't want him to leave. Everything wants him to stay. Even the reasonable part of me. "A-Al. Baby. I know you feel like you just want to fuck me right now, but I can't. I should leave before you try. I'm sorry. I love you." He quickly leaves the room, locking the door. Good call, my reasonable side coming back. I go to sit in the corner, holding my knees to my chest and the bell beside me.

So this is my curse. Luci was telling me about them. Every sinner has something they're insecure about or a curse. Wonderful.

This is just wonderful.
