As Monty was busy sulking in that bedroom, he heard the door open. He looked up and it was Freddy, Freddy walked over to him.
"Hey... Are you okay, Monty...?" Freddy asked before sitting next to Monty. Monty sighed.
"I don't even know anymore... I wish I did. I just... Wish this were all a bad dream. Some nightmare."
"Monty..." Freddy placed his hand on Montys shoulder.
"We all want to go home... But we can't do that unless we work together on this." Freddy smiled at Monty, his hand moving down to hold Montys. Monty blushed a bit but gave Freddy a small smile.
"Thanks Fred... You always know what to say to get others feeling better..."
"Of course, Monty! Now come on, let's look around together now..." Monty nodded and stood up, following Freddy out of the room. Freddy looked up at the hatch on the ceiling leading to the attic. Freddy tried reaching the handle to pull it down but he couldn't reach it, Monty then picked Freddy up.
"Can you reach it now?" Monty asked, Freddy laughed.
"Well duh! Thanks," Freddy said before pulling down the handle to the attic, the attic hatch opening. Monty grabbed the ladder before it could hit Freddy. He set Freddy down and gently placed the ladder on the floor, Freddy was about to go up but Monty stopped him.
"Don't. If anything, we don't know if there's traps here. And the attic is one place a trap could be... Stay here. I'll look." Freddy didn't try to stop him, but he was nervous clearly. Monty slowly went up the ladder, almost stalling. When he got up he looked around,
"Is it clear?" Freddy asked.
"Seems like it... It looks like a regular attic. But I'm going to take a few steps in, just in case. So stay down there!" Monty took a deep breath and got all the wall into the attic and stood up. The floor creaking below him with each step. Monty carefully turned on the light, the light flickered on, the attic was normal. It had cobwebs in the top corners... And some dust particles were blowing around, Monty took a few more steps into the attic to make sure it really was safe. It was pretty clear to Monty... Monty went back to the ladder and spoke loud,
"You can come up! Just be careful..." Freddy nodded and walked to the ladder and climbed it. Monty grabbed Freddy's hand and pulled him up. Freddy coughed a bit from the dust but he was fine,
"It looks normal..." Freddy commented. Monty agreed with him with a nod,
"Yeah, but you never know what could be hiding here." Monty walked over to a desk and opened drawers, there was nothing but junk, Monty didn't see anything suspicious. He went back to the ladder, he looked back at Freddy.
"You coming?"
"I will be down in a few minutes... I want to keep looking around up here. Is that okay?"
"Oh, uhm... Yeah. Yeah that's fine." Monty cleared his throat before going down the ladder, there was nothing much upstairs so Monty went downstairs. He looked over and saw Dan in the dining area, Monty walked over.
"Hey DJ. Where's everyone else?" Monty asked, Dan perks up.
"Oh, there in the they split up to different sections of the house to see if they can get that basement door open. It wouldn't budge..."
"Ah... Well, did you find anything interesting?" Monty asked, Dan thought for a moment.
"Not really, but if you want to count the fact that these chairs by this table are bolted to the ground... Same thing for the couch, I tried lifting it up. But it's like every chair or surface is bolted to the ground so it can't be moved." Dan explained,
"That is odd..." Monty crouched down and inspected the chairs that were bolted into the ground. He attempted to move one but the only progress he got was him wiggling the chair a little.
"Pretty sturdy, to be honest..."
"Mhm," Dan nods, Monty stood up and thought.
"Why would they bolt the chairs and any surface to the ground? It doesn't make sense." Monty looked up at Dan.
"No idea... Best guess I could give is that they don't want us trying to get outta here by bashing in the walls with some furniture."
"Good guess..." Monty sighed, that's when the lights suddenly dimmed... Monty heard everyone else coming into the dining room where everyone else was. The voice on the intercom spoke...
"Well, it is time for bed! Go upstairs and find a room. One person gets one room each. This is the time you claim a room. Good night everyone!" The intercom turned off. Roxy groaned,
"We don't need to listen to that... Thing." Chica butted in.
"But if we don't... Who knows what'll happen. Their the one in control of all of this..."
"It is best we listen and just head to bed." Moon said, Sun seemed to be more calm, which was a good thing. Dan smiled,
"Well, good night everyone! Let's get some rest, we can talk more tomorrow." Everyone agreed with him and everyone went upstairs. Monty closed up the attic before heading to bed. Monty went right back into the bedroom he was in before. He stretched and laid on the bed and stared up at the ceiling. Monty turned his head slightly, looking over slightly. Monty's eyes slowly closed, as he drifted off to sleep.
--
"AHHH!.."
Monty shot up from his bed and stood up. He rushed out of the room and saw Chica. She was in horror, and the attic was opened. Chica looked as if she fell off the ladder. Everyone exited their rooms... Roxy ran over to Chica.
"Chi?! What's the matter?!" Roxy put her hands on Chica's cheeks softly and rubbed them with her thumbs. Chica pointed into the attic... Monty looked up into the attic and walked to the ladder... Everyone looked in shock... As Monty climbed up the ladder, he could faintly smell blood. The lights were already on as Monty looked forward. Monty froze up... Because what he saw...
Was Bonnie's dead corpse.
