"You really shouldn't worry that much Fi, maybe it's a good thing, plus you are being assigned to tomorrow's mission, right?"Remus glances over to look at Josephine and notices frustration etched on her face as she wraps her arms around herself seeking a bit of warmth that the late January winds denied.
Every time Josephine finds herself being around Remus in times like these, he always provided some sort of warmth off his body that she found herself soaking in.
"Well.. yes but still, I don't understand why Dumbledore is closing me off from so many missions recently, especially when I've proven just how much I'm dedicated to the force"
His eyes soften as he looks at her. "Josephine, Dumbledore is a wise man, but he never fully trusts anyone. If he's keeping you off missions, there's a reason. You should've seen how he was with me when I first joined." He laughed softly, then glances back at the trail ahead.
Josephine and Remus were walking away from the portkey that had brought them to their current mission.
She had been paired with Remus quite often since joining The Order, except during missions close to the full moon.
Their friendship lingered ever since he left Hogwarts, but working together had rekindled it. She could even say he was one of her closest friends.
Today's mission was simple, but she was grateful to be involved. A Death Eater attack had struck a small village yesterday, and they were there to take note of the damage so The Order could send enough supplies to the affected families.
"I'm starting to think he just doesn't think that i'm good enough fo-" Josephine gets abruptly cut off when Remus puts an arm infront of her, making her come to a stop.
"Do you hear that?"
Instead of Josephine responding, she quiets down to hear whatever it is that has caught Remus' attention.
They stay still for a moment, but Josephine is unable to hear anything. She looks over to Remus to find him still squinting his eyes and staring off in the distance.
Josephine follows his gaze only to notice that the noise was coming from some shrubs moving lightly.
The movement is so subtle, she thinks she would've missed it if it hadn't been for Remus. Even now, she feels a bit skeptical about it being an actual threat.
"Remus, I think it's just a bit of wind.." Josephine whispers, turning her gaze from the shrubs, to Remus, who she finds is still wearing a look of confusion.
"No..no it's not just wind.. Josephine , I am telling you that there is something back there." Remus' voice is carrying a slight hint of panic as he reaches to retrieve his wand.
Josephine follows his movement and now has her own wand drawn out as well.
Remus starts to inch closer to the shrubs resulting in her following close behind as she turns her head, eyeing the whole field.
