The bengal case has shaken me. It is the reason why I'm not able to focus on writing new chapters.

Mandakini POV
"Priye!"
He whispered again, and gradually his lashes lifted up, and his gaze fell on me.
The time had stopped for both of us, and I saw a lone tear advancing down his cheek. It took me no moment to sit back beside him, and I slowly wiped off that droplet of tear from over his cheek.
"Raj!"
I whispered in a trembling voice, and my head extempore rested on his chest, while he slowly started caressing my head with his weak and pale hands.
"Priye! Am I dreaming?"
He whispered in a low voice, and I licked on my lower lip before answering
"No! You were, all this while!"
He exhaled sharply.
"My daughter?"
He asked, his palm covered my cheek, his voice turned throaty.
"She is dead, Raj! You were the one who performed her last rites."
I spoke with a lump troubling my throat. I could feel him getting uneasy, so I straightened up and placed my palm over his forehead to calm him down.
"No! I used to talk to her, like I did to you. We are no different now. You told me that you used to coo her, you know I did the same."
He began blabbering, but his voice did not carry the same strength as it was before. He has become weaker now.
"You know what priye, she has learnt to crawl now. My baby looks beautiful, exactly a mini version of yours."
He kept speaking, while I continued stroking his head with my palm. And suddenly, he started coughing. The doctors quickly came into the tent, and gave me a glass of water, that I placed near his mouth, straightening his neck carefully.
"We play with her together. How can you forget our daughter, priye?"
He spoke, the moment he slurped up the water.
"Those were your hallucinations, Raj. You were dreaming, being awake."
I asserted, emphasizing on the words properly to make him realise his reality.
"Our baby is dead. I had......I had left you. You went to that flat, in Bhadohi, and started assuming scenarios."
I told him, and he blinked repeatedly. His eyes gathered tears, and they started rolling down his cheeks.
I hugged him instantly, his head resting on my bosom. He wrapped his arms around me, and cried insanely.
"Throw it out. Throw all of it out, Raj. You need to cleanse yourself."
I stated, and he kept sobbing, while my fingers ran on his hair, messing it up.
"Why did you do this to you?"
I said to him, as he kept wailing. After many minutes of crying, he was okay. Ma came running into the tent, and I left him for her. She elucidated everything to him, making him realise how he had escaped from reality, and destroyed himself completely when he was alone.
He gradually understood it. Dhanraj bhaiya and Jai bhaiya crouched on the ground beside him, and soothed him with their words.
Ragini jiji also calmed him down, and baby Mandira played in his arms for some time.
