"It's about Floyd."
That phrase alone was enough to regain their attention.
"What do you mean?"
Branch asked, his expression faltering just a bit.
"He's in danger, man."
John Dory said, pausing for a moment.
(Man, flashback time 😭. Same thing, Italic for the flashback, Bold + Italic for lyrics when there's a song, and normal text for real time.)
"I hadn't heard from him since the band broke up"
Just a long while ago, John Dory was getting ready to sleep, and was in the bathroom brushing his teeth.
"Until..."
He was just gargling when he suddenly heard a jingle coming from the front door. He snuck his way to the door, holding his toothbrush for defense. Not the ideal weapon, but it works. That's when he noticed something stuck to the door's window.
"...I got a letter from him."
After retrieving the letter, he opened the envelope and read the contents. It read:
"Dear John Dory,
I am being held against my will by Superstars Velvet & Veneer, come to Mount Rageous at once and bring our brothers!
♡ Floyd
The Sensitive One"
The handwriting was neat and tidy, very understandable. Though some would be more suspicious at how it was neat, it didn't excuse the fact that the letter could be true.
"I didn't know where any of you were, so I went to Mount Rageous alone."
When John Dory made it, he drove around in order to find Velvet and Veneer. It was surprising that no one accidentally ran over him yet.
"I found where this 'Velvet and Veneer' were performing that night."
He spotted a building nearby that seemed to be getting crowded at the entrance. The music could be heard from outside as well.

John Dory carefully walked around, it's surprising that no one stepped on him with how everyone was jumping and tapping or stomping their foot on the ground to the beat.
I traveled the world and the seven seas
Everybody's looking for something
From where he was, he could see two Rageons on the stage at the front.
