A Weird Conversation

20 years later, a while after the incident with the other music genres, in the same pod, Branch found an old CD record of one of BroZone's songs.

For old times sake, he put the cd in the record player. He looked at the cover, remembering the old days. He didn't realize that someone had walked inside the pod as well.

"Branch?"

The moment he heard that, Branch shut off the record player, turning to see who it was. Seeing the pink in their hair scared him a little, but he calmed down when he spotted the familar orange at the roots of her hair.

"Oh, Zara. It's just you."

Branch said as the said as the troll walked inside. Recently, Zara had the ends of her hair dyed pink. The pink shade was similar to their magenta haired brother, but lighter. Branch definitely wasn't used to it.

"Yeah, I just wanted to check up on you."

Zara said, walking up to him and glancing at the album cover nearby.

"...You found the old record..."

She said softly as the older sibling turned to look at the cover once more. From there they just stood in silence for a bit. Then she put a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"Hey, I know it's been a while... a long while... but I'm sure they-... he'll come back someday."

She said, pausing for a bit. She always believed that one day their brothers would come back. If not their brothers, then Floyd, at the very least.

"I know, he made a promise. But... I-"

Branch was about to say, before getting interrupted by someone behind them.

"Branch? Zara?"

Poppy said, walking into the pod since Zara left the door open.

"Poppy!"

"Oh- hey!"

The two siblings said, turning around, quite startled by the queen's appearance.

"Are you two alright?"

She asked, approaching them slowly.

"Yeah, we're fine."

Zara said, smiling casually, before glancing over at her brother, and then looking at him again, her smile fading to a concerned expression.

"Branch, you're smiling and crying at the same time, it kinda looks like it's hurting your face."

Poppy said, pointing out what Zara was concerned about.

"It does hurt my face."

Branch sighed, holding his cheeks with his hands.

"I guess I'm just missing my... ahem, grandma."

He continued, clearing his throat mid-sentence. He didn't want Poppy to know about his other family members yet, despite how Zara was convincing him since a few days ago to tell the truth to his girlfriend.
