Eliana

"There's my beautiful girl!", Fynn lifts me up and twirls me around.

I giggle.

His lips meet mine.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too", I smile against his mouth.

He lets go of my lips, looking at me, "you have a new apron."

I blink.

He noticed I have a new apron.

It looks almost like the old one.

"I have."

"Let me take a look at you", he places me to the floor.

He looks at my beige apron with a flowery pattern.

"You're so cute."

I grin.

He slips out of his navy blue blazer, revealing his white button-down shirt.

"I'll go finish dinner", I turn around, going back to the kitchen.

I put the tomatoes into a bowl with my other vegetables.

Arms wrap around my waist.

He places kisses on my shoulder and up my neck.

I lay my head against his chest, exhaling.

His hands caress my belly.

It's gotten a little bigger over the last few weeks.

Time's been flying.

I'm already 19 weeks.

We decided to not know the gender.

It's more fun this way, says Fynn.

"The baby's growing so fast", he kisses my cheek.

"Hmm"

He holds my chin gently upwards and kisses me.

He turns me around.

I cup his cheeks.

"My goodness, I love you", he pants against my mouth.

"I love you too."

I break the kiss, smiling up at him.

"You hungry?"

"You bet I am", he smirks, leaning in again.

I lift my fingers to his lips.

"Not for that, for dinner."

"That's what I meant", he chuckles under his breath.

"Yeah right", I turn around again.

"And what did you think I meant?", he holds my belly.

"Fynn", I groan.

He chuckles as he leaves the kitchen.

We eat outside again.

The weather has been sunny lately.

It's so nice.

"Here you go", I place a bowl in front of him.

He pouts his lips up at me.

I smile before kissing him once.

"Thanks, baby."

I sit down too.

He extends his hand for me.

I lay mine in them.

"Blessed are you Lord, our God, king of the universe, who provides us with food and water. Bless this food and make it nourishing for our body and soul. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen."

"Amen."

————————————

I'm hanging wet clothes on the clothes line in our garden.

It's such a beautiful day today.

After Fynn left for work in the morning, I studied the Bible as usual.

Then I washed some laundry and took a nap.

I've been so tired lately.

The baby's taking all my energy.

But it's alright.

I'm beyond blessed to feel this way.

It should be around 11am now.

"Eliana!", a familiar voice yells, "are you in the garden? Open up!"

I walk around the house to the garden door.

"Leah?", I frown with a smile, "what are you doing here?"

I unlock the garden door to let her in.

She swings her arms around my neck, "I missed you, how long has been?"

I hug her back, "I missed you too and I don't know 2, 3 weeks?"

She lets go of me, caressing my belly.

"Hello, little one", she grins like a little child, "I'm your auntie Leah."

She looks up at me, "still don't wanna know the gender?"

I shake my head.

"I think you'll be an adorable little girl", she kisses my belly, "and then your mama and I will go have picnics with you and braid each others hair."

I chuckle, "for that I believe you'll need to wait a few years."

She rises to her feet and removes a strand of hair from my face.

"Look at you", she smiles with narrowed eyebrows, "you're glowing even more than before."

I smile, tilting my head sidewards, "thanks, Leah."

"Being pregnant suits you very well, El."

"It does doesn't it", I say nodding and stroking over my little belly.

She smiles.

"Come on", I take her arm, "we'll have some tea."
