...

...

It was a usual sunny day in Konoha. Sun rays gleamed onto the streets where denizens walked amongst themselves, and with companions. There were kids playing on the sidewalks, and some adults buying on open stores.

It was a usual day, well... Then there's an orange goggled kid running fast on the streets. He pants heavily as he sprinted onto a designated destination.

Ha.. ha... Ha... Shit... I'm late!

He told himself.

When he finally reached the meeting area, his teammates consisting of Kakashi and Rin, and their Sensei Minato were already waiting for him.

As usual, the masked silverette would be looking at Obito disapprovingly. Arms crossed over his chest, his right feet tapped on the ground, his dull eyes gazed at the Uchiha annoyingly.

"You're an hour late, Obito."

Said the silver haired Hatake.

Obito scoffed as he rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, I know Bakashi."

Kakashi sighed. Of course, what did he expect? Obito is always late, ne'er early.

Obito turned to Rin and sheepishly smiled, his cheeks were dusted red, but it's minute.
"H...Hey there Rin."

Rin chuckled.
"Hello, Obito."

Minato cleared his throat to get his student's attention.

"Ah, anyways. Our team has been assigned to a B-rank mission, not the usual C-rank."

Said the older blonde. Obito was excited, if he's being honest, he's always been stuck up with the C-rank missions, and wanted something a bit more challenging and exciting.

"What is the mission about, Sensei?" Rin asked, her curiosity present in her eyes.

Minato smiled.
"Well, the objective is to deliver an important scroll to a small town down west. It's a dangerous task, so be prepared."

Minato said as he looked at his students seriously.

"The mission is tomorrow, we'll meet here at 6. That means no being late, Obito." Minato looked at Obito, so did everyone else.

Obito sheepishly smiled, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck.

"Y-Yes Sensei... I won't be late tomorrow."

Obito awkwardly smiled.

"Please, by some miracle you came early tomorrow, I might let you win in one of our sparring sessions." Kakashi said bluntly.

"Excuse me?!" Obito exclaimed, feeling annoyed at Kakashi's smartass reply. Obito had always felt annoyed at how Kakashi is able to one up him every time.

He wanted to surpass the Hatake, and become strong.

"There are no excuses." Kakashi retorted in his usual tone as he placed his arms behind his head.

"Why you-"

Minato awkwardly smiled as he intervened.

"Now now boys, let's not argue."

The two boys calmed. Of course, both are annoyed at eachother, Obito specifically. He just hates the arrogance in Kakashi's attitude... At least, that's what he thinks it is.

"Now, how about we do some sparring? Obito with Kakashi, and you, Rin with me." Minato said.

"Yes, Sensei!" the three replied at sync.

....

....

....

After the sparring, Obito, yet again lost to Kakashi, and Rin unsurprisingly lost to Minato.

Everyone was tired, and the sun is already setting. Minato gazed at the sky, and concluded the training for the day.

Everyone went home and slept for the night, awaiting the mission to come.
