"Waste not, want not." And shoves it into his pocket.

"Hurry up! We gotta get out of here." Lynda yells outside.

"Yeah, yeah!" He heads to the door and looks around before he gets out. "Gotta run."

He almost reaches the car as another approaches them. "Shit." He says under his breath.

"You know the drill." Lynda throws her bag into the car. "Short and sweet, OK?" She mutters as she closes to her son.

Tom and Clementine gets out of the car and head to them.

"Peter Rumancek?" The sheriff asks.

"Yes?"

"I'm sorry to bother. We won't take up much of your time. Just have a few questions, if it's not imposing."

"Yes, sir." Then Clementine puts on a smile as she approaches more.

"I'd shake your hand, but they seem to be occupied." Peter immediately gives the box to his mom to shake her hand. "Hm. Very hirsute young man, aren't you?"

"Well, you'd have to tell me what "hirsute" means, ma'am."

"It means, and forgive me for saying, but, uh, furry."

"Oh!" He chuckles pats his belly. "Guilty, ma'am." Lynda's eyes fixed on the lady.

"Peter, I'm Dr. Chasseur. I'm a special agent with the US Fish and Wildlife Service."

"I didn't realize I was that hairy, ma'am." He says scratching his head and glancing over his mom.

"No. No, no, no. I just, uh, well..." she gets cut off when she feels a cat at her feet. "Hello." She says smilingly and crouches to stroke it. "Hey." She looks at Lynda. "You moving in or out?" Lynda doesn't say anything.

"Around, I suppose." Peter answers instea

"Bit of a rambler myself. Can you guess what brought me here?"

"Do you want me to, ma'am?"

"Heh. I'm here about the animal attacks." She says still petting the cat. "Any theories yourself on that score?" She looks at him.

"No, ma'am. But I've heard some pretty good ones."

"Bet you have." She then gets on her feet. "I don't suppose you are by any chance a werewolf, Peter?"

"I beg your pardon?"

"When the moon is full, do you walk in the skin of a wolf?"

"No, sir." He replies chuckling. "Ma'am." He corrects immediately "No, ma'am."

"Good. Well, now that's settled."

"Can I possibly ask why, ma'am--"

"Do you know Christina Wendell?" Tom cuts him off.

"Yes, sir."

"You know she was the one who discovered Lisa Willoughby?" Clementine asks, as she closes to the car.

"Yes, ma'am."

"Can you think of any reason she might have to think you were a werewolf, Peter?" She walks back to him.

"Well, because I told her, ma'am." As he exchanging looks with his mom.

"Any particular reason you told her?

"Because she asked me."

"Any particular reason she asked?"

"My middle and index finger are the same length." And wiggle them before her. She focuses and her eyes widen a bit before looks normally.
