Fatima woke up with an attitude, she and her family were still currently at Sabrina and Calvin's house.
After her and Zac's talk last night, they decided to stay and not force anything just because of what Karen had done.
Zac couldn't pretend he wasn't on edge about the things she said, but he was trying to push it all out of his mind since he now had Kaz with him
"where's kaz?" Fatima asked Danni, who was standing near the kitchen. "Upstairs with Paris I believe in the playroom."
" yeah and Ruby the rest of the kids are asleep." it was now going on 2 PM so she knew the other kids were definitely tired.
Last night they had a ball, all the adults got drunk and played multiple games, while the kids had so much fun doing whatever they were doing.
Fatima made her way upstairs leaving Zac downstairs still asleep on the air mattress they had got from Brina.
She heard little voices and followed them, "I don't really like your mama Kaz, she's mean to me anyway." She heard ruby say.
She stayed back and listened, "Yea last time i saw her she pushed tt andi." Paris chimed in. "Well I don't like yall mommy's!" Kaz said defensive.
"But our mommy's nice to you Kaz!" Ruby defended her mama and Tt. "No uh tt andi called me little Zac, she don't even know my name!"
"Everybody calls you little uncle Zac, it's a nickname like baby danni what they call me." Paris spoke,
even though the girls were in a fuss Fatima was so proud at the way everyone was using their words and their pronunciation.
(kazi is 7, ruby is 7, and paris is 6.)
"Well i don't care, yall mean!" Kaz said, "We sorry Kaz i don't want you to be mean to tt." Fatima's face turned up.
The kids called all the other ladies tt andi, tt brina, or tt dan. She was the only one they called tt because tt fatima was always hard for them.
Then tt tima was stupid to them, she wanted them to further explain but andi walked up to help Paris brush her teeth so.
"What you doing girl? Pare come on." Andi went into the room, "Ruby you can come to." She grabbed both girls hand.
They waved sadly to Kaz who pouted by the play kitchen, "Im coming- no no hunny talk to your mommy." Andi spoke.
she left the room, "I don't want to." Kazi said, "What's the matter munchkin? Did mommy do something?"
"No Fatima, im ok." In that moment Fatima's heart broke, it felt like her whole world had fallen when kazi said those 4 words.
"Uh excuse me Kazia, what did you say?" She questioned. "I said I'm ok Fatima." Kaz repeated casually.
" Kazia Melody Taylor are you okay? You sick?" She started touching her face. "Stop touching me!"
She removed her hands as Kazia got a little loud, "Who the heck are you talking to Kazia? What's gotten into you?"
"I don't have to answer to you! You're not my mommy and you never will be, so stop trying to be! ," Kaz said before running away from Fatima to the bathroom across the hall.
Fatima eyes watered, she stood from the chair she sat down in and left the playroom. She Stared at bathroom door but didn't open it.
She made her way back downstairs to see Zac folding up the airmatress, she grabbed her things quietly.
"Wait baby what you doing?" , "I'll be in the car please get the girls ready." she spoke trying to keep her tears in. "What's wrong why you crying?"
"I just- I wanna be alone." She pushed past him and left the house, she went to go sit in the car and bawled her eyes out.
She couldn't believe it, never in the 7 years of raising Kaz has she ever opened her mouth to disrespect Ti.
There was a knock on the window and Fatima looked up, Zac was there with a sad expression. She unlocked the door and he got in.
"Tima you gotta talk to me, we have to communicate if you're down, mad, hurt anything." He scooted closer to her, they're in the back.
"Kazi called me Fatima and told me that I wasn't her mommy and I never will be. And it broke my heart Zac,"
"She said what? I'm finna whoop- No Zac! I don't want her to feel forced to do anything! She doesn't have to call me mommy."
"Fatima is fine it just hurts." , "That's not the point Ti I don't care what's fine to you that shit not fine to me."
"She told you, you ain't her mama and never will be like that's Karen talking and I swear I'm taking that bitch to court I'm sick of this shit!"
"Zac calm down," Fatima pulled him to her and they hugged, he rested his head on hers and they just sat there in their vulnerable states.
After a while Fatima pulled away, "It's going to take some getting used to but if she feels that way it's okay baby,"
"I just don't want her to start disrespecting you or nothing." , "And she won't cause I'll make sure of it,"
"I'm ready to go lemme go get my kids," the two got out the car and Fatima went to get Zyla and Zyelle.
"Bye everyone, say bye girls." Zac came down with Kaz. "Bye tt Andi bye tt Danni bye tt bri!" The girls spoke together.
"Bye auntie's," Kazi spoke with a mug on her face with her arms crossed, "fix it now!" She dropped her arms and her face.
"Bye my beautiful trio!" Andi spoke kissing their foreheads then brina and Danni did the same, they rounded up in the car and the Taylor's left.
They stopped at McDonald's, "Ouu happy meal!" Ella clapped excitedly, Fatima pulled to the window.
"I'm ready when you are!" The drive thru worker said, "Can I have two happy meals, one nuggets and one cheeseburger?"
"Drinks both a hi-c also, fries, and 3 ice cream cones to go with it?" , "will that be all?" She asked afterwards.
"No maam, can I get spicy chicken sandwich meal, a large sprite, and 3 cookies." She looked to Zac, he pointed to her.
"Make that two spicy meals, Kazi would you like something?" Kazi didnt say anything. "Melody, she talking to you!" Zac said sternly.
"Yeah, burger." She spoke with an attitude, "Fix it or you not getting shit Kazia don't fucking play with me in this drive thru."
Zac was getting fed up with this act, "Can I get a cheeseburger, fries, hi-c and ice cream please?" , "Of course Kaz."
Fatima repeated it and the total came out to be 26.71, Zac went in his wallet and paid. They got their food and change before going home.
When they got there , Zac put the sleeping Ella and Zy in their own rooms while Kaz took herself to her room and was awake on her iPad.
Zac entered her room and she sighed closing out her app. "You ready to talk?"
