Dashing

Ye Olde Fudgery. Scarlett looked at it with pure confusion on her face. But that confusion turned into disgust when the tour guide brought out a uniform for the group. In no way in hell would Scarlett be wearing that.

But she didn't have a choice.

"Ye Olde Fudgery?" Eugene read with an excited smile forming on his face.

"More like ye olde diabetes in a box." Wednesday muttered, making Scarlett snort.

"Volunteers, prick up thine ears." The woman called for them. Scarlett began to imagine what it was like to work here — she knew that she would actually try to kill herself if she ever had to speak the way the woman was. "Fudge is a lifeblood of our humble community. And samples equal sales, so grab a uniform and a box and make pure forefathers proud."

"Are these for muzzling tourists?" Wednesday asked the obvious question ringing in Scarlett's head. The woman said nothing stare at her. Scarlett observed the outfit before gagging.

I might die if I put this on." She expressed to Wednesday who was already thinking the same thing.

"I would die, you would be rather dashing in it." The goth girl muttered, walking past Scarlett without another word but left the vampire in a noticeable flustered state.

——

"Enjoy your 'authentic' pilgrim fudge made with cacao beans procured by the oppressed indigenous people of the Amazon. All proceeds go to uphold this pathetic whitewashing of American history. Also, fudge wasn't invented for another 258 years. Any takers?" Scarlett was blushing in the corner, leaning up against the wall as she watched Wednesday scare away customers with her hot German words that nobody was interested in. The crowd slowly dispersed out the door, making the tour guide shocked.

"Sweetheart, the point of this was to attract customers, not scare them away." Scarlett twirled the wooden stick from the fudge between her fingers, smirking at Wednesday as she brushed back the goth girl's hair.

"No? I thought it was." Wednesday remarked back sarcastically, a small smirk on her face that only Scarlett got to see. The two girls made eye contact with the tour guide, walking away to probably scare off more customers.

——

"Howdy, pilgrims?" Wednesday greeted with a blunt tone as the three boys who attacked them at the Weathervane were back, only picking on Eugene now.

"How ya doin'?" Scarlett wiggled her fingers with a flirty smirk on her face. Instead of the toothpick in her hands now, it was now a small knife that she had stolen from the factory that made the fudge.

Wednesday grabbed the top part of the stock before one of the boys slammed it on top of Eugene. "Let him go." Wednesday said as Scarlett began to wander around then, the echoes of her combat boots stomping around was appeared as a warning.

"You want to end up in the stocks too?" The boy asked, keeping the stock side up.

"Remember what happened the last time we did this dance?" Wednesday almost smirked as the memory of it flashed through the boy's head. He let it go and grabbed Eugene, shoving him towards the others who held him down. While the boy confidently strolled towards Wednesday, Scarlett was already smirking at the fact he would get his ass kicked by a tiny Latina.

Again.

Wednesday has precise skills and didn't require much movement since the bully himself was practically falling on his own two feet by her cat like reflexes. Scarlett grabbed one of the boys holding Eugene from behind, wrapping him up in a chokehold. The third one tried grabbing her but she side kicked him right in the crotch.

Wednesday threw the bully she was dealing with in the stalks, locking it down on him as Scarlett let the other boys go, grabbing Eugene safely in her grasp. Wednesday looked at the first boy, then back at the other ones. "Are you two still here?"

"I can't get into more trouble with my dad." The dark-skinned one said, the other one standing up shakily while holding his crotch.

"No, wait! Lucas." Their friend called from the stocks. Scarlett smirked as she waved bye to them, letting go of Eugene who was covered in his own puke.

"Let's get you cleaned up." The vampire looked at him, Wednesday nodding swiftly in agreement.
