XIE LIANS POV:

hua cheng usually wakes up before me but he was still sleeping at this point

i open my eyes to find a hand gripped to my waist and a head on my shoulder i look up to admire my husband but what i see shocks me

i always knew he was beautiful but this was a different beauty, i noticed san lang didn't have his eyepatch on i've never seen him without it.

xie lian thought to himself "i wonder why he even keeps it on when he's this gorgeous"
hua cheng slowly starts to wake up he sees xie lian staring at him, instinctively he says "good morning ge-" and then he realizes something and his eye goes wide in shock immediately he throws his hair to the side to cover his eye and sits up he throws his hand over his eye and his lips start twitching.

"san lang? what are you doing getting up so quickly? you just woke up" he looks over at xie lian but he didn't turn his head at all, he starts stuttering "your highness i-" "..." he starts gripping the sheet with his free hand and continues "i have to go somewhere right now" xie lian raises his eyebrows in confusion "wait sanlang-" before he could finish hua cheng dashed out

xie lian is utterly confused he never acts that way usually even if xie lian tries to make him get up he just ends up crushing him back into his arms and making him stay there with him for awhile, but he just dashed out as soon as he woke up?!

he realizes what's going on and immediately jumps up after him, calling him out as he chases after behind him "san lang wait! come back here right now!" hua cheng lost in his own thoughts couldn't make out what he was saying, all he knew was he was dashing to go dig himself a whole and crawl in it.

eventually xie lian loses hua cheng and starts looking everywhere for him but he's nowhere to be found he first asks yin yu if he had seen hua cheng anywhere.

"my lord have you seen san lang anywhere?" he asked as he hurriedly ran to him, thinking he might know but he only says " i'm afraid not your highness, pardon my manners but, did you two have a fight?"

"no, no nothing like that.." xie lian paused and thought "i'm not gonna tell him about what happened and risk san lang losing face, but how do i explain that i need to find him..?"

"i just.. he said he was going somewhere this morning and i haven't seen him since so i was just worried, that's all." xie lian made sure not to go too far in detail about what happened, especially because it's their private affairs but he needs someone to find him. "is there any possible way my lord will be able to find him, i've tried reaching out to him via communication array but i received no answer.." xie lian said with a frown forming on his face "i see then i'll try my best to locate him for you."

"my gratitude." with that he bowed and left continuing his search for him he decides to look around the manor some more.

"it's been 3 hours and still no sign of him" xie lian begans getting extremely nervous thinking he may have gotten himself hurt. he calls forth ruoye "ruyoe find him" and with that ruoye flew from xie lians arm and out the door. xie lian decided to calm down since his trust in ruoye was of a great amount and was sure it would find him, with that he decided to walk back to his bed chamber walking there with his head down lost in his thoughts on why he would disappear that long just because he had... he had seen him.

he walks into his bed chamber and sees a man clad in red, eyepatch on one eye, with a worried expression on his face, sweat trickling down from his forehead and a long silk band wrapped around his wrist that's tied to the bed making it impossible for him to have gotten away before xie lian arrived.

xie lian stared blankly and then began to run over to him he was standing before hua cheng now and called forth ruoye back into his sleeve, "san lang." he said with a concerned expression. "your highness i.." xie lian quickly cut him off and said "your highness? so something is the matter then." he sighed then looked down at hua cheng clenching the bed sheets tightly "san lang what's wrong? why are you avoiding me?" hua cheng was silent for a moment and then he stood up.

when hua cheng stood up xie lian backed away a few feet so he would have room to stand. hua cheng then drops and kneels before his god, "gege i- i'm sorry you had to see me so hideous this morning and i just thought you wouldn't wanna see me so i stayed away.." xie lian now had a look of complete sorrow on his face
"d-did i upset your highness, i know i'm-" before he could finish xie lian took his hand and covered hua chengs mouth "such nonsense you speak, you aren't hideous at all, infact you're even the more beautiful with your eyepatch off-" xie lian stopped his sentence and seen hua cheng holding back tears, "gege.. you don't have to lie for my sake i understand.. if gege-" but before he could finish xie lian drops to his knees and circles his arms around hua cheng trapping him in a close, and tight embrace, refusing to let go even a little, hua chengs face buried into xie lians chest and said "mm" xie lian took his finger and started stroking his hair before beginning again.

"my san lang is beautiful, don't think otherwise i have no reason to lie i simply couldn't even take my eyes off you this morning it was a different kind of beauty, one i've never seen before."  hua cheng couldn't contain it anymore he was his most sensitive when it was his god and a few light tear drops fell, wetting xie lians robes, xie lian noticed and began caressing his waist and reassuring him.

he grabbed hua cheng by the shoulders and made him stare at him xie lian kissed hua cheng and, hua cheng kissed him back after breaking from the kiss xie lian reached for the back of his head untying the eyepatch as it fell hua cheng began to turn away but xie lian stopped him in his tracks and mumbled "so beautiful" if hua cheng had a heart i'm sure it would have beat out his chest by now.

xie lian notices how he's still guarded so he tilts his head up moving towards his eye.
hua cheng is suprised and frightened by this action not sure what xie lian was gonna do "ah! gege what are you doing..? you shouldn't-" but before he could finish xie lian began placing light kisses on his eye and brushing it with his finger hua chengs whole body froze at this action

xie lian then kissed him and wiped his tears with his thumb hua cheng felt more love then he ever has before being he was a 'cursed' child growing up he couldn't contain himself and threw himself on top of xie lian and kissed him deeply, he caressed his cheeks and smiled.
