02_gain my trust.

This morning I managed to wake up by myself. I felt happy, like I actually had a reason to wake up unlike every morning.

I took a 15 minute shower and Dry my hair. after I straightened it taking one little strand in both sides and connected them in the middle back of my head with a simple black clip.

For my outfit I picked out a green crop top, dark black high top shorts, and finishing it with a cute green sandal.

I am a nerd but I sure don't dress like one.

When I'm done with my simple makeup I grab my backpack and my phone skipping down the stairs.

And once again my mom just left me a twenty dollars bill which I grab and put it in my savings upstairs because I don't need it since Zach's paying for my lunch now.

Since it was early I decided to make some scrambled eggs and drinking a cup of orange juice.

After a whole five minutes of eating I wash my dishes.

I start drying my plate when I hear a text message pop up in my phone. I dry quickly and walk to my phone on the table to see an iMessage from Zach.

Zach: morning princess.

What is he, my mom?

Me: if you don't need something than leave me alone.

Zach: do I have to need something to text you, what if I just wanna text you?😉

Me: bye Zach.

With that I turn off my phone and walk outside the door with my backpack.

I've waited for Kate for ten minutes and she still isn't t here.

Maybe she texted me.

I turn my phone back on and see an iMessage from her.

Kate: hey Lin sorry I'm staying home today to babysit my little brother. I hope you find someone to drive you. bye love ya✌️

I sight loudly knowing that if I walk to school then I'll be late.
Then I came up with an idea that I hate myself for.

I scroll down to Zach's contact.
me: hey are you free right now?

Zach: I thought you didn't want me to text you.

Me: can you just answer the question.

Zach: what do you want?

Me: a ride to school, please.

Zach: yeah sure, I'll be there in three minutes. See u princess

I sight relieved that I don't have to walk to school.
I wait for him for the three minutes he promised then he finally showed up.

He parks the car and I slid in the passenger's sit.

"What happened to Kate?" He asks looking at me plugging in my sit-belt.

"Babysitting" I answer.

Skip car ride.

The whole car ride was just him driving and me staring at the window.

"Thanks" I say with manors.

"No problem" he answers smirking.

I step out the car and to my locker. As for him he walks to Jayce giving him a manly hug and a weird handshake.
