The next morning, Weiying wakes up and notices that Wangji hasn't returned yet. He thinks to himself that perhaps Wangji is out partying after hearing about his condition. Just as these thoughts cross Weiying's mind, the gate opens, and there stands Wangji. Seeing him, Weiying tries to ignore him and starts to get out of bed. At that moment, Wangji grabs Weiying's hand and says, "I need to talk to you. Please, listen to me."

"What do you want to say?" Weiying asks.

Taking a deep breath, Wangji begins, "Weiying, I know that in the past three years, I've hurt you a lot and done many wrong things to you. But in these final moments, I want to do whatever you wish.

Weiying is astonished to hear Wangji's words, but looking into Wangji's eyes, he realizes that Wangji is not pretending. Weiying remains silent for a moment after hearing Wangji's words and then asks, "Will you stay with me until I die?

Wangji listens to Weiying's words, and for some reason, hearing about Weiying's death brings pain to his heart. Before Wangji can say anything, Weiying speaks, "I know your work is very important to you, so you don't need to take my words seriously."

"No, it's not like that. Alright, I will stay with you until you get better," Wangji says.

Weiying wanted to correct him, saying "until I die" instead of "get better," but he lets it go. Wangji then asks, "What do you want to do?"

Weiying sighs and then says, "Wangji, I wanted to do many things, but before I die, there are seven things I must do. Will you help me complete these seven things?"

Wangji takes note and says, "Whatever you say, I will do it." Weiying gives a faint smile because he knows that Wangji is doing all this out of sympathy for him.

"Alright, then get ready. We need to go out," Weiying says. Wangji nods and replies, "Okay, I'll inform my office that I won't be coming in for a few months." Weiying nods and goes to get ready.

A little while later, Weiying and Wangji are ready and about to leave. All the servants are shocked because they have never seen both their masters go out together like this.

Weiying and Wangji sit in the car, and Weiying tells the driver, "Take us to the mall." Wangji is surprised, as he hadn't expected Weiying's first wish out of the seven to be going to a mall. But Wangji says nothing.
