Wangji was standing there on the mountain, lost in thought, when suddenly someone covered his eyes and said, "Guess who I am."
"Weiying, what are you doing?" Wangji said.
"Lanzhan, you always recognize me. Anyway, what were you thinking?" Weiying asked.
"Nothing... it's just that whenever I come here, that day comes to mind. That day was both happy and sad for me. That day, I realized that you love me, but I was also afraid I might lose you," Wangji said with sadness.
"Lanzhan, nothing will ever happen to me. Besides, after what you said to me, how could I die? I still remember those words," Weiying replied.
"Alright, tell me, what did I say that day?" Wangji asked.

Now, the scene takes us back to that moment.
Wen Qing tells Wangji that Weiying is fine and that the operation was successful. Hearing this, Wangji starts crying out of happiness and begins pleading with Wen Qing to let him meet Weiying. However, Wen Qing asks him to wait for a while, as Weiying had just come out of surgery. Wangji agrees.
A little while later, Wangji comes to Weiying. Weiying was asleep because he had been given a lot of medication to make him sleep. Wangji sat beside him, holding his hand, and said, "Weiying, how dare you even think about leaving me? You think I'm here just out of sympathy for you, but that's not true. I love you, dammit, I love you! Did you hear me? And no one else can ever come into my life except you. And your last wish—'to always be happy'—how could I ever be happy without you? You might think this day is only good for you, but you have no idea that this is the best day of my life. You know, it’s only by being with you that I’ve understood what love really is. So, get well soon because without you, I have no happiness."
Hearing all this, Weiying opens his eyes and looks at Wangji. Wangji looks back at Weiying, who then says, "Say it again, what you just said—I can't believe it."
Wangji quickly hugs Weiying and says, "I love you, Weiying."
Just then, Wen Qing comes in and starts scolding Wangji, saying, "He just had surgery, stay away from him for a while."
Wangji quickly moved away from Weiying, but he was smiling, and Weiying was smiling too.
Both Weiying and Wangji were lost in these memories when they suddenly heard the voices of two children—one who was 8 years old and one who was 7 years old. They both called out, "Baba, Ma, let's go, we're hungry."
Weiying and Wangji look at them and, smiling, say, "Yuan, Sizhui, we're coming."
Wangji holds Weiying's hand, and they start walking together.
