𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬

Slytherin or Griffindor

I walked up to the guys with my head down. I knew the Slytherin boys and the trio wouldn't get along as they usually don't but I thought they'll at least try putting their differences aside for me. How stupid of me, right? The trio are my friends but the Slytherin boys have warmed up to me and I did not wish to lose that because they were actually nice. Maybe it's just me that sees that. 

"What a bunch of losers!" I heard Theodore state as we were heading out of the Three Broomsticks. 

"Yeah, like what do they take Aurora for? Some kind of trophy, for fucks sake?" Matteo declared in annoyance at which I felt my cheeks grow red so I kept looking at the ground. That's when I realised. They did try to keep it nice and stay calm but they got protective over me. I appreciated this. I think I  can maybe open up to them some time soon. 

" Thank you for standing up for me, guys. I didn't think of you as the protective and caring type." I pointed out.

"Of course, princess. You're one of us now. We have each other's back no matter what." Matteo placed a finger under my chin to lift my head gently and make me look at him. 

"I just wish the trio to see you in this light as well and not make me choose between the them and you guys.." I said as I looked up at Matteo as he gently put his hand away. 

"What?! They made you choose?" Regulus asked in disbelieve. 

"Well kinda.. They told me to keep you guys in line if I wished to hang with them." I replied with my head down again.

"You brought this upon yourself, Morningstar! You're too friendly, making everyone thing they have a chance with you. Or do you just want the attention?" Draco spoke out furiously. 

"What? No! What makes you say that?" I looked up at him confused, yet upset that he went back to calling me by my second name..

"For instance, you flirt back with only every guy? Or how about the fact that you let them touch you, pick you up or call you nicknames! You get them thinking you're easy and will oblige to any request! I don't know if you're actually naive and dumb or just another attention seeker like any other girl at this stupid excuse of a school. You make me feel disgusted, Morningstar!" Draco raised his voice and what he said, it got to me. It hurt but it made me feel enraged so I looked up at him.

"Oh, so I should be a cold, heartless brute like you then! Bitch about every little thing and push people away as well. Stomp on people and have everyone hate me like you, Malfoy, right?" I raged uncontrollably. 

"Aurora, your eyes.." Regulus pointed out. 

"What the-" Tom couldn't even finish his sentence.

"Don't look at me!" I closed my eyes and turned away from the guys. 

"I don't wish for you to see me like this.. please go..." I begged as I clenched my hands into fists.

"Aurora, what's wrong! We're not leaving you like this!" Regulus reassured.

I punched the stone wall out of anger and mixed emotions that I wished would go away. I heard the wall crack and opened my eyes to see that a dent resulted from my punch.

There was a moment of silence but then Matteo broke it. "Look at me, Aurora. We're not afraid." 

I took a moment to breath out my anger and claim back my calmness. I then turned back to face the boys. 

"What was that, just now?" Theodore asked. 

"It's a long story.." drained, was I could say right now. My thoughts were all over the place. 

"We've got time, princess." Matteo reassured and put an arm around my shoulder, implying for me to walk.

We reached Hogwarts and then the Slytherin common room in silence. The eight of us gathered at Matteo's and Tom's room for privacy. Matteo led me to sit on his bed and when everyone were sat Regulus entailed for me to begin. "Whenever you're ready."

I looked up at everyone and initiated "I must warn you that you may not wish to keep in contact with me after this, guys.. I'm not sure about this.." 

"I don't believe anything is going to make us stray away from you, Aurora." Matteo reassured.
