Terzo looked from his desk as the toddler ghoul waddled around his room, looking around curiously. Books laid open on his desk. One line caught his eye as he returned his focus.
When a ghoul or ghoulette is summoned and takes the form of a kit, it is because this soul had little to no childhood. Or a traumatic childhood. This results in the soul regressing backwards to receive a proper childhood. Once that has been achieved, it will revert back to its true age.
Terzo stared at the words before looking back at the kit.
"Hmm.. interesting. It's sort of like age regressing I suppose. Poor thing... Must have gone through a lot." Papa sighed, looking at the child.

Months passed as the kit lived a great life, getting endlessly spoiled by terzo, who played the most active role possible in the kit's life. The ghouls taught him how to be a ghoul, playing with him and watching him when terzo couldn't, or when they wanted to. After about a year since the kit's ritual, he changed, turning from a helpless kit with massive scarry dog privileges. To a grown but young looking ghoul.
