ㅇㅇㅇㅇㅇㅇㅇAs soon as they entered Taehyung’s room, he jerked his hand out of Jeongguk’s grip, his anger palpable.
“What’s wrong with you? Who do you think you are? Do you think I’ll just put up with whatever you do?” Taehyung’s voice cracked through the tension, his frustration boiling over. He barely noticed Jeongguk quietly locking the door behind them, sealing them both inside. Just the two of them.
“I’m sorry.” The words slipped out of Jeongguk’s mouth, soft yet sincere. They cut through the heated air like a balm. Taehyung, for a moment, calmed down. Jeongguk gently took both of Taehyung’s hands, his touch tender and careful. When their eyes met, the world seemed to slow down. Taehyung found himself lost in Jeongguk’s gaze, a mix of longing and regret swirling in his dark eyes. His heart raced, caught in the intensity of the moment. He had never seen Jeongguk like this—vulnerable, with a softness in his eyes that left Taehyung feeling exposed.
For a fleeting moment, Taehyung remembered the old days, before the arguments, before things got complicated. Back when Jeongguk would look at him with wide eyes, demanding things with an innocent stubbornness that Taehyung had found endearing. The familiarity of it tugged at something deep inside him, but before he could speak, Jeongguk beat him to it.
“Tae, baby, look… I didn’t mean to hurt you. I never wanted to force anything on you. Please don’t be mad at me. I won’t ask you to forgive me because I know it wasn’t easy for you, but I—”
“No,” Taehyung interrupted, his voice softer now, less angry but still firm. “It wasn’t that big of a deal for me, Jeongguk. Do you think I haven’t slept with anyone before you?” He hesitated, glancing away as his voice lowered, “But what about your sister? Did you ever think about her? About what we’re doing to her? We’re lying to her face, Jeongguk. I can’t just pretend everything’s okay. It’s a big deal for me.”
Jeongguk’s expression shifted, a smirk tugging at the corners of his lips. He giggled softly, confusing Taehyung even more.
“So, it’s my sister now?” Jeongguk teased, his voice light, almost playful. “Isn’t she your wife? I see progress, my good boy.” He reached out and playfully tugged at Taehyung’s cheek, but Taehyung quickly brushed his hand away, annoyed.
Jeongguk’s smirk only deepened. “And if it wasn’t such a big deal for you, then why’d you send me to jail, huh? You’ve got to pay me back for that,” he murmured, his hand sliding up Taehyung’s back, pulling him closer. His voice dropped to a whisper as he leaned into Taehyung’s ear, “A kiss isn’t a big deal for you, right?”
Taehyung shivered at the sensation, trying to move out of Jeongguk’s hold, but it was no use.
“Let go of me, you idiot! Things don’t work like this,” Taehyung growled, grabbing Jeongguk’s shirt in frustration. “And I swear, if you ever pull something like this again, I’ll send you back to jail with that friend of yours, Namjoon. I know he was the one who got you out.”
Jeongguk laughed softly, clearly amused. “My baby is smart, isn’t he? But don’t act like you weren’t worried about me. Or maybe… it wasn’t me you were worried about, but my sister. Deep down, you were praying Namjoon hyung would handle it and get me out, weren’t you?”
He pulled Taehyung even closer, their faces inches apart now. Taehyung’s grip on Jeongguk’s shirt slackened as he felt himself being overwhelmed by the closeness. Before he knew it, Jeongguk had pushed him against the door. Panic surged through Taehyung as Jeongguk pinned his hands above his head, leaning in for what he thought would be a kiss.
Taehyung squeezed his eyes shut, waiting for the inevitable. But nothing happened.
Slowly, he opened his eyes and found Jeongguk staring at him, not with lust, but with a softness that made his heart skip a beat.
"Cute," Jeongguk murmured, before leaning in to Place a soft, lingering kiss on Taehyung's temple. The simple gesture sent a wave of warmth through Taehyung, making his cheeks flush red.
Then, just as suddenly, Jeongguk let him go, turning away as if nothing had happened. "Come on, let's sleep," he said casually.
Taehyung stood frozen for a moment, trying to Process everything. "I-I'm going back to Soo," he stammered, turning toward the door, But before he could leave, Jeongguk's voice stopped him again.
"Fine, go ahead, She'll Probably ask why I brought you here, and what we were talking about. Your face is telling the whole story, you know. Go and lie to her again if you can," Jeongguk said, now sprawled out on the bed, his bare chest exposed as he stretched lazily.
Taehyung knew he was right, He couldn't go back to Soo like this, With a defeated sigh, he walked over to the bed and laid down beside Jeongguk, though he kept a careful distance. He closed his eyes, trying to ignore the heavy tension in the room.
Jeongguk turned his back to him, and Taehyung closed his eyes, hoping to find some Peace in sleep, But it wasn’t long before he felt Jeongguk shift. Suddenly, Jeongguk was hovering over him, and Taehyung’s eyes flew open in panic. He tried to get away, but Jeongguk gently stopped him.
“Shh, don’t move,” Jeongguk whispered, guiding Taehyung onto his stomach. His hands moved over Taehyung’s back, pressing into the sore muscles. “I know I was rough that night… You’re probably still sore.”
Taehyung wanted to Protest, but his body betrayed him. The massage felt too good, his muscles melting under Jeongguk's touch. He closed his eyes, his tension slowly fading.
"Tae," Jeongguk's voice was soft, almost vulnerable, "I know my ways are wrong, but I love you, I'll bear your anger if it means I can keep you."
Taehyung's heart clenched at the whispered confession, but he said nothing. He just lay there, letting the warmth of Jeongguk's hands and the weight of his words lull him into a dreamless sleep.
