"What if my sister never wakes up to continue living her dream? What if she never comes back to us? What if-"

I broke down, unable to hold back my tears any longer.

"What if I wake up one day to the fact that I no longer have a sister, just like I lost my mum?" More tears rolled down my face.

Dad hugged me and comforted me.

"I need to get some air. I'll be outside when you're done with everything," I told him.

On my way out, I ran into David.

"You're the last person I want to talk to right now. Just let me be."

"I'm not trying to justify my brother's actions or deny that I hid the truth from you," David said, "but if you look closely, you and my brother aren't all that different."

"It's the audacity for me," I replied, staring at him.

"The only difference is in what you do and how you do it," he continued.

"But the reason you do it is the same. You never used to see the love in everything your sister did for you.
Just like my brother."

"You know nothing about my sister and me. You don't even have the slightest idea," I shouted.

"You're right, I don't know everything about you two, but I do have an idea.

Every time you complained about your sister and said the worst things about her, Fredrick would talk to me about it at home, hoping to find a way to advise you.

One day, I went to pick up my brother and we saw your sister-the 'so-called evil sister' you talk about."

"Wow, Fredrick. How dare you do this to me," I responded, feeling betrayed.

"Your sister loves you," David said calmly.

"I know, but I never felt it because I was too blinded by the need for a perfect sister.

All I needed was to love her for who she is," I said, my voice cracking as I struggled to hold back more tears.

"You're right, but Fredrick still needs to face the consequences of his actions. He has to learn his lesson, just like I have," I said as I turned to walk away.

David followed me. "I'm not trying to change your mind about everything, but I hope you can forgive him someday."

"I hope so," I responded.

"And I won't hide the fact that despite everything I heard from my brother, I liked your sister," he said nervously.

Hearing this surprised me even more. I couldn't help but stop and give him a look.

"What? " was the only word that could leave my mouth.
