Taehyung - You should rest now, I'll leave.

He started walking towards the door but then you stopped him-

Y/N - Taehyung.... Where is Seoyun?

Hearing this his expressions changed,
The moment her name left your lips, his whole demeanor shifted. His expression darkened, the tension that had started to ease was back in full force, but now it was laced with a sharp edge of anger. He stopped in his tracks, his back still turned to you.

For a moment, he didn’t say anything, the silence growing heavier with each passing second. You could see his fists clenching at his sides, his knuckles turning white. When he finally spoke, his voice was low, controlled, but you could hear the fury beneath it.

Taehyung - Don’t bring her up right now, and Mind your own business Y/N.

You flinched slightly at the coldness in his tone, realizing you had touched a nerve. But you needed to know.

Y/N - Taehyung, I—

He cut you off, turning around to face you, his eyes blazing with an intensity that made you shrink back slightly.

Taehyung - Just drop it. Seoyun... she's in the past. She has nothing to do with this.

You could see the pain mingled with his anger, a raw wound that hadn’t fully healed.

Y/N - I didn’t mean to—

Taehyung - It doesn’t matter what you meant. Just don’t mention her again, okay?

His words were final, the conversation clearly over. Without another word, he turned and walked out, leaving you alone in the room, the door closing behind him with a heavy click.

You sat there, your mind reeling from the intensity of the exchange. The tension in the air was still thick, his anger lingering even after he had gone. You realized then that Seoyun was more than just a name from his past; she was a part of him that he had buried deep, a part that still held a lot of unresolved pain.

And now, you had to figure out how to navigate the storm you had just stirred up. And you also wanted to know who Seoyun was and how things ended. Thinking all this you slowly drifted into your dreamland.

As you slowly regained consciousness, the sterile scent of antiseptic filled your nostrils. The beeping of the heart monitor was the first sound you became aware of, followed by the soft murmur of voices. Blinking your eyes open, you found yourself in a hospital room, the bright light overhead making you wince slightly.

Your body felt heavy, and your throat was dry. It took a moment for the fog in your mind to clear, the memories of the past few days flooding back to you—the kidnapping, the cold cell, the fear that gripped you every moment.

And then, the rescue.

Before you could dwell too much on it, the door to your room creaked open, and you turned your head to see Mrs. Kim, your mother-in-law, enter the room. Her usually composed face was lined with worry, her eyes red as if she had been crying.

Mrs. Kim - Y/N,

she whispered, her voice shaky as she rushed to your side.

Mrs. Kim - Oh, my dear, how are you feeling?

You tried to smile, but it came out weak.

Y/N - I'm okay, Mom.

Mrs. Kim took your hand in hers, her grip gentle yet firm, as if she was afraid you might disappear if she let go. Tears welled up in her eyes again, and she brushed them away quickly, trying to keep her composure.
