After the unexpected argument in the garden, Y/n returned to her hospital room with a smile on her face. Her room, though small, was filled with personal touches that made it comforting. The white walls were adorned with colorful prints and photos of friends and family, bringing warmth to her space. The bed, covered in a pastel-blue comforter and soft pillows, looked like a cozy place to rest. Beside it, a nightstand held a picture frame, a stack of books, and a lamp that cast a gentle light across the room.

The window on the opposite wall allowed natural light to flood in from the hospital garden, providing a connection to the outside world. Near the window was a comfy armchair with a knitted throw and a potted plant in the corner, adding a touch of cheer to the room.

Dr. Vergara walked into the room, her presence immediately brightening the space. Dressed in a white lab coat over a light blue blouse and dark slacks, she exuded a friendly, lively energy. Her dark, wavy hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail, and her expressive brown eyes sparkled with warmth.

"Hi, Y/n! How are you? Have you eaten well?" Dr. Vergara asked as she reviewed the charts on her clipboard.

"Doc, okay lang. Nakapaglakad-lakad nga ako sa garden kanina," Y/n replied. "May nakilala akong babae na sobrang funny. Ang dami niyang kalokohan."

"Really?" Dr. Vergara asked, clearly interested. "But of course, you still need to be careful. How are you feeling now?"

"Okay lang naman, Doc. Hindi naman masyadong sumasakit," Y/n said, her concern apparent in her tone.

"Y/n, you really need to be cautious. Your condition isn't something to take lightly," Dr. Vergara said seriously as she returned to her charts. "Your symptoms can change, so it's important to follow my instructions. If you feel anything unusual, let me know immediately."

"I understand, Doc," Y/n said, her tone showing that she took the advice seriously.

"Good," Dr. Vergara said, giving her a reassuring smile. "By the way, I heard your parents are coming to visit you. How do you feel about that?"

Y/n's expression immediately changed. Her smile faded, replaced by a look of discomfort. "Oo nga, narinig ko rin," she said, her voice tinged with unease. "Pero hindi ko alam kung paano ko dapat maramdaman. Parang complicated kasi."

Dr. Vergara raised an eyebrow, sensing there was more to the story. "Why's that? I thought your parents would be supportive."

"Supportive naman sila, pero ang problema kasi, gusto nilang i-assign sa'kin yung mga plano nila," Y/n explained, frustration evident in her voice. "Gusto nilang magstay ako dito sa Japan at mag-focus sa pag-recover, pero gusto ko sana makabalik sa dati kong buhay. Hindi ko gusto na parang nakadepende na lang ako sa kanila."

Dr. Vergara nodded, understanding the complexity of the situation. "I see. It's tough when their intentions are good, but their decisions for you feel like they're limiting your independence."

"Exactly," Y/n said, her eyes reflecting her frustration. "Parang iniisip nila na ang pinakamagandang solusyon ay ang gawin akong dependent sa kanila, kahit na ayoko nang ganito."

"Sometimes, it's hard to balance their intentions with what's best for you," Dr. Vergara said, her tone sympathetic. "It's important to communicate with them about how you're feeling. They might not realize how their decisions affect your sense of independence."

"Siguro," Y/n said, her voice softening. "Pero hindi ko pa rin alam kung paano ko sasabihin sa kanila."

"I understand," Dr. Vergara said, walking over to the side of the bed. "For now, focus on your health. And remember, you can always lean on me if you need someone to talk to."
