Hongjoong was sitting on the corner of the bed, eating freshly made instant noodles. San and Jongho in the meanwhile were sitting on the other side of the bed, the older ranting and ranting while his brother was paying no mind, scrolling on his phone.
"Why do you even care? You're in your mid-twenties, if you want to cut them off you could." Hongjoong suggested.
"That's the thing. I tried so many times but all they do is threaten me, one time they almost hired a hitman to get me!"
"Imagine if they hire me." Hongjoong chuckled.
"Would you kill your best friend for a tiny bit of money ?"
"Yes. No hesitation."
"Fuck you, Kim Hongjoong."
"Anyways," San continued as he got up, switching emotions like he was changing his shirt. Hongjoong watched him with confusing written on his face when the other grabbed his laptop from his desk and put it on the bed where he was sitting originally.
"Let's watch a movie." San said, throwing himself on the bed too.
"Do you think it's the time to watch a movie...?" Hongjoong looked at him up and down.
"Jongho, do you wanna watch a movie?"
"...Yeah?" The younger looked up from his phone, where some game was playing on auto mode.
"Settled. It's a 2 vs. 1 which means we're watching that movie." San opened the laptop and typed in Hongjoong's code – Hongjoong didn't even know how he got it, but he never bothered to change it in five years.
The next morning at uni – which only Hongjoong attended because Jongho didn't have any class that day and San never attends either way. So they both went home. – Hongjoong felt like he wanted to die. But not literally. He was just mad tired.
Eyebags under his eyes and everything, which was comprehensible considering it was his third night without proper sleep maybe, so much that coffee didn't work anymore. He just figured out he'd sleep in class. He couldn't stay unfocused like that with a job like his.
He walked in a rush to his class, which he thinks is social studies but doesn't bother checking and doesn't care if it's the wrong class either, he sat next to the wall in the seat further behind, put down his backpack on the desk and let himself fall head on it. After only a few seconds, he fell asleep... until someone ruined it.
"Can I sit next to you?" The man, that Hongjoong knew too well at this point, sat next to him before bothering to wait for his answer.
"What the fuck? There's ten other seats. And you left your usual seat empty." Hongjoong, not even looking up, pointed at Seonghwa's friend group who were missing a member, seemingly.
"What's wrong with wanting to sit next to a friend?" Seonghwa smiled, his usual innocent smile hiding a not-so innocent intention, the smile that made Hongjoong want to stab him repeatedly in the head.
"Since when were we friends?!" He suddenly shot up awake, staring at Seonghwa like he just spit on him. The older nearly burst out of laughter but tried his best to keep it in.
"No but for real, I gotta tell you something." Just like the other day, his personality switched up out of nowhere. Hongjoong was almost used to this so he wasn't fazed, still kept his distance, though.
Was he starting to trust him?
"Then spit it out."
"It's something important, I don't want people to listen in. Let's walk together, maybe?"
