[At Golden Crust Bakery]

JUNGKOOK'S POV

I sat in the bakery, feeling the familiar warmth of the place wrap around me like an old blanket. It's been long since I last came here. I leaned back in my chair, a small smile played on my lips as I watched Yn at the counter, her face lit up with joy. As if she had been waiting for this day for a long time.

She moved with a certain clumsiness, her apron strings trailing behind her as she fumbled with the coffee machine. She dropped a spoon, muttered a soft "aish" under her breath, and hurriedly wiped the counter, almost knocking over a jar of sugar in the process.

Silly girl!

I couldn't help but chuckle at the sight.

"I thought you probably hate me now and that's why you stopped visiting the bakery. I was so sad.Do you know how bad I felt the whole time?"

"So...so you'll come to the bakery again, right?"

I small smile automatically tugged at my lips remembering her words. Despite her occasional clumsiness or bratty act, there's something undeniably heart warming about her.

A moment later, she approached my table with a steaming cup and a small dessert plate. "Here's your coffee and a special dessert for you," she announced with a smile.

I raised an eyebrow. "Uh, I don't eat too sweet in the morning."

"Jeon-ssi! I made this exclusive dessert only for you. It took me three long hours to experiment with different flavours and items. And you're saying you don't want it?" Her ranting stopped and she leaned closer to my ear and whispered in a low voice, "Don't worry, I won't take extra charge for this. It's free." She retreated with a sly smile.

I chuckled,"You're giving me free food? You? Like what is it made of? Chilis and onions?"

She laughed, shaking her head. "No, no, no! I swear it's edible. Come on, Jeon-ssi, at least taste it. It's perfectly fine." She stood there patiently, watching me with a playful gleam in her eyes, waiting for my reaction.

I really don't eat sweet this early, but still I gave in and took a small bite. The flavors melted on my tongue, surprising me with their light sweetness. "Hmm. It tastes good," I admitted, smiling up at her.

"There's some cream right here," she said, pointing to the corner of my bottom lip. I wiped at it with a tissue, "Is it gone now?" I asked.

"Umm, there's still some stuck on your piercing. Wait."

Before I could react, she was by my side, kneeling slightly to meet me at eye level. Her fingers placed under my chin, tilting my head upward as she carefully wiped the cream from my lip piercing. Her big, beautiful eyelashes fluttered with every blink, her eyes focused intently on my mouth. "Tilt your head a little higher, please," she murmured softly, her touch light but firm.

For a moment, everything else seemed to fade into the background. All I could see, all I could feel, was her - the way her breath mingled with mine, the soft scent of vanilla clinging to her skin, the way her fingers held my chin. My heart thudded in my chest, a strange, unfamiliar feeling curling inside me, like a string being tugged in a place I had long forgotten.
