The two sisters along with their maid arrived at the place where they needed to but the amazing dresses. Evelyn had warned Fiona to not leave her sight with out informing. She had a habit of disappearing. The last ball they attended, she was missing for more than hour and that was why, Evelyn strictly told her to stay by her side until they were done with their respective works.

But,

Fiona was a troubled child as observed by the maid accompanying both the sisters in the market. They had come to Lansdowne Streets to buy themselves few dresses for the evening snack. While the maid and the elder sister was engaged into the fabric collections, scouring the textile and its surface, Miss Pembroke drifted her attention to some ancient, metal brooches, fibulas, and handcrafted jewels.

She is very fond of astonishing jewels which adorns her skin. As Evelyn was busy with maid so Fiona took her own step to search what she was looking for.

Definitely, a proper dress of etiquette or gown with golden laces was not in her list. She wanted to add some tinkling pearls, magnificent gems that would hang below the lobes of weighty colorful earbobs.

While snickering around the antique shops, her eyes got hooked on an ancient metal piece. It was a pair of emeralds, brilliantly lighting in the broad daylight. She reached the shop with few steps but it was not only her whose eyes got fascinated by it. Someone had already set its prey.

The moment she arrived at the merchant shop, she collided with a soul, who was too surprised by this pair of sparkling ornaments.

"Sorry my lady, I hope you are not hurt." He told her after they faced a slight concussion of their bodies, basically it was brushing of their sleeves.

"Pardon, barely saw you are coming." She muttered.

"Mention not, it was just a momentary entanglement." He told and now they both looked at the shining gem.

"What an astonishing piece!" She expressed delightfully, "How much for this one?" Fiona could not hold her excitement to buy it and she promptly asked the merchant for its price. The young lad on her left paid just a glance on her and interrupted

"Indeed astonishing!" He said looking at her, "But I have already snapped up on it."

"Snapped up?" She said shockingly. "My eyes saw it first."

"I don't think so coz it was my gaze that fell before anyone else could have."

"How?" She squealed " I had my first words with the merchant itself which means I am one who has the privilege to buy it first and so if you excuse...."

"Alas! I have already made my demand." He replied instantly,

"Look, I am in dire need of this, you must know?" She muttered in grimace, "My elder sister is going to get marry and we do need an extraordinary piece of jewel that would outshine others. So please?"

He grinned, "You really think just an ornament can outshine?"

"If it is not, why don't you just let me have it?" She yanked in firm.

"Pardon me, coz it cannot happen as I have already captured it." He replied firmly and stopped her to make any attempt to get a hold of the gem which he wanted to buy.

The dashing young gentleman stood in front of her with great potential. He investigated her with determination and powerful eyes that even for a moment, Fiona felt she was being caught in a trap.

"If you think you can resign my decision through your eyes, you are sorely mistaken," Fiona spoke.

"So, you find my eyes dominating?"
