I woke up sore as hell with his arm wrapped around me snoring lightly. Bryan did it again, blew my back out. I though to my self with a smile on face. I got out of bed and since I couldn't walk, I crawled to the bathroom.

"Where are the files for the Henderson case" I said cutting her off. "I put them in your brief case along with everything you will need to get ready for the trial. Also you have a new client so I cleared the rest of your day -"

"Wait a minute, YOU DID WHAT?"

I semi-yelled.

"He says that he will personally pay you for the hours so don't get mad at me I was kind of afraid for my life knowing his reputation and he sounded really intimidating over the phone" Ashely said.

"Okay.... He? You keep saying He? Who the Hell is He???" I said

"His name is Darnell King." Ashely said

As soon as Ashely said His name my heart literally froze. I told myself that this was just business, your just defending another criminal, it's your job, it's your career. Easy enough said than done.

I took a deep breath to compose myself then I told Ashley to "let me know when he gets here" She left and I was in my office with nothing but my thoughts.

I decided to ignore my thoughts and focus on The Henderson case.

20 minutes later there was a knock at my office door. I got up, straightened my dress and looked myself in the mirror making sure my hair and make up was on point. I opened the door and gasped......
