**Minji's POV**
It's been a weekend since Hanni and I started dating. Today, she officially "works" at the shop. She's not actually working here technically. What I mean is that Auntie okayed the notion that she would be able to come through and sing songs sometimes. I hear that most stores kick buskers out since it disrupts business and stuff but I think Auntie is being so generous purely because I'm dating Hanni. She's usually very stingy with gaining profits since the coffee shop is still relatively new and she wants to grow business however she really opened her heart to Hanni. I should treat her out sometime to express my gratitude that she's being so nice to my girlfriend. I tingled when I said that: "girlfriend". Butterflies. Truly butterflies.
"PHAM, can you hurry up? I'm gonna be late to work!" I yelled from her living room. I was sitting on the couch, watching the morning cartoons waiting for her which meant that I was forced to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I fixed myself a bowl of Frosted Flakes cereal as I watched. If there's one thing I learned from dating her, it's that Hanni is really lazy AND really grumpy in the morning.
"Well if someone didn't force me to watch a scary movie last night, then maybe I would've been able to sleep!" she grumbled.
"How was I supposed to know you couldn't handle it? I held you in my arms the whole movie AND to sleep too!" I fought back.
"I- let's go," she concluded, exiting the front door without a glance back.
I grabbed her guitar which was set in front of the door then left as well, locking the door behind me, "Pham~ don't be like thatttt!"
~~
"Minji! Why are you so late?!?" Auntie screamed when she saw me enter the door, then when she saw Hanni behind me, she turned soft, "Hanni~ welcome!"
"Sorry, the bus broke down earlier-- had to wait for them to repair it," I lied, quickly running to the back to put on my apron and start work. I went to my usual station behind the counter.
I stared at Hanni wander around, pacing back-and-forth, nervous to actually start playing. There wasn't that many people in the shop yet; it was still very early morning.
I called her over, "Pham~ don't be such a baby! Just play while there is still a small amount of people here. It'll be worse when more people come right?"
"B-But what if I mess up or what if they don't like me Min~?" Her voice sounded weak and vulnerable. I just wanted to stick her inside my arms.
"Hanni. 'They' don't matter, because I'll always love you." I kissed her cheek, "You'll rock this! I know you will."
I watched her as she walked over to her guitar, about to play. She took a deep breath and finally, played the first chord.
I was mesmerized while she played and sang. I placed my arm on the counter, resting my head in my hands, while watching. She sang with such elegance and that smile on her face while she played could send shivers down the spine of anyone; her charm was in full force. Her voice serenaded me as I worked.
That was until I felt a slap on my cheek.
"MINJI!" Auntie yelled in my ear.
"Wh-WHAT!" I frantically turned around to see my Auntie with the most enraged face I've seen on her.
"I get that she's your girlfriend and all, but you need to work still!" She pointed behind me to the line of customers I apparently ghosted due to watching Hanni. "If this goes on, I will have to kick HER out for distracting YOU."
"S-sorry Auntie," I said, ashamed of my action. Pham Hanni, what have you done to me?
I went back to working while Hanni kept performing but this time, I held my utmost attention to working, partially because I could spot Auntie staring at me from the side of my eye.
