The Finish Line Is The Heart (MatchBlossom x Reader)

"Hey Julie I'm going out for lunch I be back in a bit." (y/n) says while passing her desk. "And when can we expect you back? You have a lot of clients today miss." Julie say without looking up from her computer  which she was typing something. (y/n) starts walking backwards towards the exit "well that is a good question that I don't have the answer to." "why because your gonna see your boyfriends?" (y/n) sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose "I told you for the last time Kojiro and Kaoru aren't my boyfriends they just happen to be boys that are my best friends nothing more and nothing less." Julie paused her typing giving (y/n) a look then went back to her work "mhm"

 (y/n) quickly left the building, not wanting to go down that rabbit hole again, and hopped on her bike and sped away.  Now, Julie wasn't completely wrong she was in fact going to Kojiro's restaurant  and it just so happened Kaoru was going there with a business partner. So, she thought it wouldn't hurt to see the two while also getting herself lunch.  Though, she didn't tell either of them she was coming.

She gets to the restaurant quickly due to the motivation of her hunger. She enters the restaurant and looks around to see if Kaoru had arrived yet or if Kojiro was flirting with another female customer. To her disappointment she found neither. She sits down in her usual stop, which is the corner near the door, for when she comes to eat and she gets on her phone waiting to be waited on since she already knew what she wanted.  Finally the waiter arrives and takes her order, while her order is being taken she sees Kaoru and a man walk in. 

 But upon seeing the two she realized that the man Kaoru was with was one of the clients she had a meeting with later, so she kept quiet and kept her eyes on her phone. 

After a few minutes her food and drink arrive and she starts eating when she sees Kojiro bring out Kaoru and the mans food out personally. (y/n) was a bit to far to hear the conversation, but once the man goes to take a call she see Kojiro start talking and then get into a cat fight when of course she records to show them later. She quickly finishes her food and leaves money on the table and leaves to go back to work.  

 "Well would you look at that you truly didn't take long" (y/n) hears when she walks back into her work building "Yea, because I don't tell lies Julie" she says leaning on the counter "Really you don't?" Julie say sarcastically "Yes, tell me when have I ever lied to you?" Julie give her a look "Do you want me to be honest?" (y/n) sighs "No, but thanks for reminding why I hired you." Julies gives a little side smile as (y/n) walks back to her office.

 (y/n) sighs at the red haired boy giving her puppy dog eyes with his blue haired friend sitting next to him looking amazed at her office. Just after her last client visited her Reki had bust into her office with Langa asking her if Langa could get a job here. Before she could answer him he just kept talking not letting her say anything until he finally shut up and gave her puppy dog eyes. 

 (y/n) rubs a hand down her face before straightening in her seat and looks at the two teens "Look, Langa I'm sure you're a great kid and I'm not saying I wouldn't let you work her, but one the requirements of working here is to have some knowledge of technology. Would you happen to know how to program a video game?" the blue hair boy looks at her then looks down and shakes his head which leads to Reki sighing in defeat. "You can't just make an exception this once?" Reki ask a little hopeful "Reki you know I can't" she gives him a sympathetic smile.

 "Have you asked your work place Reki?" The boy in question looks at her going to say something, but doesn't and looks down "We probably should have started there" The boy gets up abruptly and grabs Langa and sprints out her office yelling back at the girl "Thanks (y/n)!!" 

 (y/n) just smiles and chuckles at the boy before going back to finishing her work.

 (y/n) plays on her phone while leaning on her bike while cherry was beside her tapping his foot. The two of them were waiting for about a good 10 minutes now for green haired friend to get here. The three of them had agreed earlier in the week that they would meet up today at S and practice together, but Joe being Joe is late like usual. 

 "I swear I'm gonna kill that gorilla when he gets here" fuses Cherry. Now with Cherry he's always is on time he makes sure he's not early or late, just one time. With (y/n) she always a few minutes early just to give her some to mentally prepare for whatever happens with the two. "I don't understand why you make a fuss over Joe being late, he's just always like that." (y/n) says without looking up from her game. 

And of course right after she had said that Joe pulls up beside the two. "Hope I didn't keep you guys waiting" He says showing off his abs for the fans that were watching the three. "You know for a fact you're late you gorilla." Cherry argues before grabbing his board and starts skating off with (y/n) and Joe right behind him quickly pulling beside either of him. 

 As they got more into the course they could here their fans yelling for them "Cherry Blossom's here tonight!" "Yeah! My man Joe!" "OMG it's really her its Lilith!" and other things like "Joe! I wanna marry your abs!" "Those eyes slay me!" for Joe "I'll climb that Cherry tree!" for Cherry, and "I'll die for you so you can use my face as a mask Lilith." "Run me over with your board Lilith!" for Lilith. Though none of the the three really listen, well at least not Lilith and Cherry. Joe was another story when it comes to his fans. 

"Carla, calculate angle." Cherry ask his board as the three of them were coming towards a turn. "Copy, master." Carla replies while sending out a laser to measure the turn. "One hundred sixty-two degrees." Cherry turn based on the calculations and which of course lead to Joe calling him out "Huh! What a wuss! You're skating according to your calculations?" with Cherry glaring at him Joe showed off his skills... and muscles.

 "Good luck. If there's no risk, there's no fun." which then Joe started to shake on his board. Lilith was behind the two watching this all happen and asking the same questions she's been asking herself for years now 'how are these two friends'. Cherry passes ahead of him of course not without saying something "Idiot" "You're brave pinky" Lilith comes next to Joe "You two are gonna be the death of each other." "That's the fun of our friendship. Plus you wouldn't let either of us die." He winks and speeds off towards Cherry, while Lilith shakes her head and chuckles at the two speeding off behind them. 

 Once they were side by side they started speeding hoping to to get past the other "Carla, please educate the imbecile." which Carla does "Joe the imbecile cornered at 65%. This is highly inefficient." "Dude, you're talking to a machine?" Joe talks back, which ticked Cherry off "She's Carla. Have some respect!" "Carla? Figures you'd gives your board a girl's name! Since you can't get a real one! If you were gonna give it a girl names give it Lilith's name so it has a pretty name!" 

 (y/n) didn't really get along with the idea "Hey! Don't involve me in your little argument. Plus that would just be creepy." She grimaces. Joe and Cherry started to push at each other, that's when (y/n) saw a rock that would get her ahead of the two. She gains speed and uses the rock as a ramp to flip her around so that's she's skating backwards facing the two boys. "Knock it off you two, you guys arguing is not why we came her." She then turned herself around and speeds off with the two following her words and following after her.
