Chapter 1
"Heath! Get out of the bathroom! You've been in there for an hour!" I yelled as I banged on white door.
"De-stress your breasts baby sis, I'm done." Heath said opening the door. His curly blonde hair was combed neatly into place and he had a big smile plastered on his tanned face. I punched him in the arm and walked into the large bathroom that we [sadly] have to share and looked in the mirror.
Terrifying.
My blonde hair was pointing in all different directions with a section that was completely matted down, my dark blue eyes were hollow from lack of sleep, my glasses were crooked, and- is that dried drool on my forehead?
Yup. That's dried drool on my forehead.
I turned on the hot water and washed my face, just as Heath came back in.
"You should really lock the door. You could've been naked." He said with a disgusted look on his face.
"Yeah well, you probably should've knocked. I could've been naked." I said as I mocking his face. Heath rolled his eyes at me as I finally decided to ask why he was back in the bathroom.
"I was just wanting to talk to my only baby sister, that's all. I'll be going off to college soon and I'm really going to miss you."
"Awh, I'll miss you too," I said pulling him into a hug, "but what do you want."
"I don't want anything! I promise." He said in his high pitched voice- indicating that he was lying. I raised my eyebrows and he let out a small sigh. "You know that party that the Leonard boy's are throwing tonight?" He asked.
"Yes..." I said, thinking about the three sons, all one year apart in age, throwing their annual, crazy, party.
"Yeah well, I'm going to need a designated driver, and you're the only person I can trust not to get completely shit-faced wasted. Consider it an honor."
"Uh, I might have other plans?" I said, giving him a small glare.
"You can ditch your pretty boy, Colton, for one night. I need a D.D. and you need something to else to do besides obsess over your future."
"I don't know, Heath... That's not my kind of scene." I said warily. For once I didn't have plans with my boyfriend, Colton, and I wanted time to myself.
"Pretty please! I've never asked for anything until now!" I rolled my eyes.
I can name a thousand things he's asked me to do over the years.
"Okay, ignore the last sentence, but pretty please Carter."
"Maybe... I'll think about it," I said as his face lit up a little, "now please leave. I'm getting ready to go to Kate's."
"Oh, really?" Heath said with a smirk, "Can I come wi-"
"LEAVE!" I shoved Heath out of my bathroom and locked the door.
Heath had wanted to get with my best friend, Kate, for a couple of months now. Don't get me wrong, Kate is beautiful but him liking her is just... weird.
I turned on the shower and grabbed my hair brush, hoping to tackle a few of the knots as I waited on the shower to warm up. I reached in the shower and felt the temperature of the water. I hopped in and continued with my normal shower routine. Just as I got out, the phone rang.
"Hello?" I asked.
"It's me." My best friend Juniper sang back.
"Oh, hi."
