Chapter 2

What did I get myself into?

I looked in the mirror at myself and cringed a little bit. I was wearing a very, very, short black dress that exposed the small amount of cleavage I had, and hugged every curve on my body. It did make me look good, but I felt so- naked. Everyone could see everything about my body- and I knew if Colton knew I was wearing this, I'd be in huge trouble.

"You look so good!" Kate said with a smile. Kate was wearing the same dress as me, except hers was a dark red, which made her pale skin stick out.

"I don't know if I should pull the bottom down or pull the top up."

"Neither!" June said. "You look so hot with that on, I think I'm getting a little bit of a crush on you."

I let out a small sigh and continued looking in the mirror. "I can't even begin to image how mad Colton would be..."

"Girl, don't worry about him. He is too protective over you. He acts like your his- his property." Juniper said. 

"He doesn't treat me that badly," I said. "I'd rather him care than not." Juniper let out a sign. Contrary to Kate, Juniper hated how Colton treated me, and wanted me to go against his wishes.

"Holy shit your house is huge! I just spent the past 30 minutes looking for you guys!" Heath said walking into Kate's room.

"Maybe we didn't want to be found." Juniper snipped at him.

"Well if you hadn't been found you would've never made it to the party. We need to leave soon- the party started an hour ago."

"Well, let's go then." Kate said walking out of her room.

"Who's car are we taking?" I asked.

"We can take mine," Heath offered, "It's the biggest."

"You guy's go on your own. I'll have to leave early so I'll just drive myself." Kate said.

"Why do you have to leave early... Do you have a date with your mystery man?" Juniper said asked.

"Maaaybe." Kate said with a blush.

Kate had been seeing this guy for a while, but she would never tell us his name, let alone let us meet him. We know nothing about him, but it's what she wants so I guess that's okay.

"Yo. We gotta gooo." Heath said.

"Alright, alright, calm down!" I said. The four of us made our way down the hall and down the stairs which led to the large living room, and on out to the driveway.

Juniper, Heath, and I got into his Hummer, and we pulled out of the drive.

"Do you think Kate's mystery man is a little- bizarre?" Juniper asked me. 

"I guess... But it's her decision not to tell us about him so I guess that's okay."

"I suppose. It's just weird that she hasn't told us anything about him. We don't even know his name." Juniper said.

I shrugged in response and looked out the window. It's Kate's life. If she doesn't want to tell us she doesn't have to. 

The sound of loud music started to enter the vehicle as we approached to Leonard's house. Their large house already had cups scattered in the front yard, and the front door was wide open.

Heath pulled up to the curb and parked his car.

"We're here!" Juniper yelled.

Heath and Juniper jumped out as I slowly crawled out- dreading the rest of the night.

Let's just get this over with.
