Y/N

The dim light of my apartment cast a soft glow across the room, the shadows dancing on the walls as I paced back and forth. The night outside was silent, save for the occasional distant sound of traffic. I sat on the edge of my bed, the tension of the past few days weighing heavily on me. My fingers trembled slightly as I reached for my phone, the urgency of the situation driving me to make this call.

I dialed Ryo Takeda's number, my mind racing with the new findings about my father's case. The call connected, and his familiar, cheerful voice greeted me.

"Oh hello Y/N. Long time no call, eh?" he said, his tone light and playful.

A faint smile touched my lips at his greeting, but the gravity of my message soon settled in.

"Haha. It's only been a week since you visited here, idiot."

I heard his amused chuckle on the other end, but I didn't let it distract me. The seriousness of the matter was too pressing.

"So, what happened? Did that 'detective' leave you for a rich woman? That's why you're pissed off?" he teased.

I rolled my eyes, even though he couldn't see me. "Seriously? First of all, Sherlock isn't my boyfriend for the nth time. And second, why would I care about that rich woman?" I retorted, my tone sharper now.

There was a brief pause on his end before he responded with more seriousness.

"Yeah. Right. So... seriously, what happened?"

I took a deep breath, gathering my thoughts.

"I have new findings about my dad's case. And I need you to confirm something for me."

The lightness in his voice disappeared immediately, replaced by a tense curiosity.

"What...?" he asked, clearly caught off guard.

I could hear his nervousness as I continued.

"Tell me... have you..."

"Have you found something that could lead to your father's killer?" His question was tentative, but there was an edge to it now.

"Yes," I said firmly, the weight of my discovery heavy in my voice.

"A very useful and big one. That's why I want you to come here and help me figure something out."

The pause that followed felt interminable. I could sense his unease through the silence.

"O-okay. I'll come there. When do you want to meet?" he asked, trying to mask his nervousness.
