Mewar, Rajasthan. India

The citizens and higher authority crowded the palace of Mewar for their daily court sessions today, making it a normal day for the people of Mewar. Sitting and talking to one another while waiting for their beloved Lord.

The court's chatter stopped as a horn blew and caught their ear. As the second horn sounded, the court's massive door creaked open and the King entered the room.

Raja Maharawal Ratna Singh.

The brave king was the ruler of half of Rajasthan. Raised to become a king someday, he was the sole son of the Ratan family.

Maharawal Ratan Sigh was the sole sibling of Rayna. Although Raynaa was his cousin by relation, he loved her as though she were his sister. Ratan was the teacher who guided them through their childhood. Who imparted knowledge to her about life, sword fighting, various languages, and many other topics. He did not doubt that Rayna would be crowned queen of the kingdom currently owned by her father, and he prepared her well for the task. However, he was unaware that Rayna was obligated to marry not one, but seven Korean men.

Ratan was married to a beautiful princess of Chittod, Rajasthan. Padmavati was her name.

The second mom to raynaa. Padmavati and Rayna had a close bond, with Rayna always by her side, and she learned about court laws and how to radiate self-beauty.
Padmavati was Rayna's best friend.

Ratan Singh's pov:

Feeling tired, I left the courtroom after the daily sessions. As I strolled through the palace hallways, I reflected on my surroundings with a smile on my face. The air was filled with the aroma of Mogra flowers and the sun was bright today.

I entered my bedroom, searching for the person who possessed my heart. But where is she?

Me: Padmini?

I made a call to her name, and she hummed. Her voice guided me to the pond, where she was sitting and sewing her skirt.

A beautiful glow spread over her complexion as she smiled as her eyes met mine

A beautiful glow spread over her complexion as she smiled as her eyes met mine. Standing up, she made her way towards me. I gazed at her with adoration in my eyes. A blush spread across her cheeks as she stood in front of me.

Padmini: you are here.

Me: How can I not be present when you're waiting for me?

She giggled at my foolish statement and proceeded to take off my jewellery and pag-di

Padmini: go get change. I'll make sure your meal is ready by then.

I nodded and departed after squeezing her forehead with a sweet kiss. Upon getting dressed, I entered the chamber where Padmini was waiting for me with the food. However, Gora Singh rushed into the room, whistling and catching his breath. He was the most experienced and mighty soldier in our army, and he taught Rayna and me how to use swords when we were infants.

Me: Sing ji? Is everything okay?

He shook his head.

Singh ji: Raja ji, a Korean soldier is here.

I frowned. It was unusual for an outsider to be here.

Me: why?

Singh Ji: we let them enter the premises of the palace, because..

His eyes were teary. Padmavati stood by my side, witnessing all the commotion.

Padmini: what's the matter Singh ji?

Her soft voice rang in the silence, Singh ji took a deep breath to calm himself down and spoke up.

Singh ji: he has Princess Rayna's letter with him.

As my breathing pattern changed, I saw negative scenarios flash before my eyes. I hadn't spoken to my sister in more than a year, and it was unusual for her to be without me for more than a month. I was cognizant of the fact that something was wrong. I swerved around and caught a glimpse of Padmavati as my heartbeat was ringing in my ears. Fear causes her eyes to widen.
With that, both of us sprinted towards the balcony, and our eyes caught the sight of soldiers riding on their horses with Korean flags on their backs making their way towards the entrance of our palace.
