~Author's Note~
I wrote this when I was editing another poem I had written a while ago and got a little off track. I lost my train of thought because I started thinking about how my friends often tell me about the things people say to them, rude things, and how those words hurt them and leave them in a funk for a while. I know those friends will read this, so to you guys: I dont think your suicidal, but if you do start to feel like that's the only thing in your life you can control (your demise) just know that it's not and please dont go because I dont want to cry every time I hear the song "The Light Behind Your Eyes" and think of you.
Love,
Big Papa
=================================================================================
You say these words,
sentences, lies.
But I think that
you don't know, understand
recollect what words are capable of.
How just one word can
push a girl over the edge,
over the brink, into the deep
end.
How one sentence can
cause red smiles to
appear on the inside of his wrists.
How much pain
malevolent insults can inflict
upon a person who is one
suicidal thought away from
taking those pills, ending it all
You caused this.
