J: OH. Ok. 

Dah: Let's create a party!

J: Ok! now to vote our leader! the people the leader chooses will be his/her Cabinet!

D: Ok? So the leader will choose a bunch of people and those people will be his/her storage?

J: No, no. The Cabinet is a group of people who help the leader in government. The second most voted party will be the opposing party. They are called the "Official Opposition", they will have a "Shadow Cabinet", their job is to question the real cabinet about their plans so that the opposing party can try and improve them. The government has the House of Commons, which is made up of all the MPs, who are elected, and the Senate, who are not elected, they are appointed by the leader, but they influence in public opinion. Actually, the Senate, The House of Commons and the Governor General make laws in the government. There is a long process of law-making. It may take months, or even years to make a single law. The government does not make any silly or stupid laws no matter what as laws go through a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd reading, and the Senate also takes a second look, so if there are any problems or mistakes, the Senate always sends the law back, then after the (problematic) law is amended, which means changed, the Governor General does the final sign before the law is enforced, or put in force. So, be patient if you want a law to be made!

Dah: When did she know all this political stuff?

H: School? What else?
