My thirst on John's death had became empty for my mind was occupied by work as the days led up to the party. My life had became normal again.

I would wake up early and go for a walk with Max to spend time with him which he seems to enjoy as he rarely saw me during the day but-

Usually I could feel piercing eyes on me as I walk through the streets and head to the park. They were always watching me every day at the same time .

Maybe I was being paranoid or it was the same black figure I spot on the beach the night of John's death .

No it was different it felt that they were different set of eyes on me everyday or every day of the week.

Wednesday I felt his strange eyes on me and then I felt cold eyes on me for the rest of the days.

Something wasn't right I wasn't being paranoid and Alex along with James was not helping when it came to the eyes.

They would simply shrug me off saying I wasn't getting enough sleep or coming up with excuses on me being crazy and laugh it off.

Emily and I had become more than work buddies which I occasionally invite her for dinner when her boyfriend would normally get abusive on her.

She would have scars and bruises on her skin at work which led me to be curious on where she was getting these scars and bruises every day.

Alex and Liam were welcoming to her as I told them about her situation with her boyfriend. They jokingly threatened to kill her boyfriend but she was in love with him I guess cause her face expression would change as they would joke about it .

At work everything was good Micheal was acting as usual funny but stern with his work. He never mention anything about the part rather than sending me a message about the place.

When I told Alex and Liam that I was going to the party, they seemed excited for me .

"Have fun!" Alex said, grinning like a proud dad hearing his daughters were going to their first prom. "You deserve a night out."

"Yeah, go let loose and enjoy yourself," Liam added, chuckling.

I  smiled, not revealing her my true intentions. "I will, guys. Thanks."

Then, Alex's eyes lit up with a mischievous glint. "Oh, we're not just going to let you go like that. We're going to make you look amazing."

Liam nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we're talking full glam treatment. Makeup, hair, the works."

Just then, a soft knock on the door and I rush to the door to find Emil standing there with a smile.Emily walked into the living room, looking a bit nervous as Max waggle his tail at her.

"Hey guys, I don't know if I can pull off this party thing..."she said standing in the middle of the room holding her dress in her hand.

Alex and Liam turned to her, grinning. "Don't worry, Em, we've got you covered too. !"

"You two go have a shower and meet us back down here in half an hour " Alex said too excited.

They spent the next hour getting both me and Emily outfits together . They did our makeup, styled our hair, and helped us into gorgeous dresses.

"Alex where did you get this " I said looking in the mirror as I hardly recognized myself.

"Borrow it from a drag queen" was all he said before laughing at his effort trying to be mysterious.

"Oh my gosh, you are a drag queen " I said finally realizing at 9pm he would normally leave sometimes with Liam.

He only shrugged before laughing and head back to cuddle with Liam on the couch.
