Episode 9: Rage, You Damn Nerd!

U.A. High

And so began a new day at U.A. High. However, the morning was filled with the U.A.'s Hero Course Curriculum. One of them was an English class. And if there was one thing that Ben didn't miss, it was studying.

One of the classes that was in the curriculum was English, which was taught by the Voice Hero, Present Mic.

"Now, which of these four sentences contains a mistake?" he asked while pointing at the board.

Most of the students thought of one thing, and it wasn't the answer.

'So boring!'

'This really sucks.' Bakugo thought.

"Hey everybody look alive! Grammar rules!"

That was when both Ben and the tall girl, Yaoyorozu, raised their hands.

"Tennyson, what is your answer?" asked Mic, almost as if he was a host on a game show.

"I think... that it's the second one?" Ben said, unsure about his answer.

"I'm sorry, but that is incorrect!" the teacher exclaimed.

Yaoyorozu raised her hand again to answer. "It's the fourth one, sir. The relative pronoun is wrong."

"Correct, Yaoyorozu!" the teacher gave her a thumbs up.

Ben felt a little embarrassed. 'Maybe I should've paid more attention in my English classes.'

U.A. Cafeteria

'That was tough, but at least it's lunch time.'

Lunch was served in the main cafeteria, where students can buy pretty tasty food for a cheap price. The room was very large, meaning that every student from all courses ate at the same time.

After buying a plate of rice, meat, and milk, Ben went to find a table. Fortunately for him, he found Izuku, Ochaco, Iida, and Julie sitting in one.

He sat down next to Julie. "Well, this morning was kind of boring." Ben sighed as he took a bite of the rice.

"Well, we do have to learn more than just fighting villains." Julie shrugged.

"Still, this school is so cool!" Izuku exclaimed with enthusiasm.

"And the food is SO GOOD!" Ochaco shouted as she gobbled up her food like there was no tomorrow.

"Uraraka, slow down! You'll choke!" Iida shouted, worried for her.

"Yeah. Or throw up!" Izuku said, trying to stop his friend.

Ben and Julie chuckled at the shenanigans. Then, two students showed up to their table, and they were familiar to Ben and Izuku. They were Gwen and Kevin.

"Hey, mind if we sit you guys?" Kevin asked.

"Sure." Ben nodded and looked at his friends. "Is that alright with you?"

Izuku nodded. "Sure, the more the merrier."

After gathering two more chairs, the gang was all settled in.

"Guys, this is my cousin, Gwen."

Gwen waved her hand. "Hi."

Ben then motioned to Kevin. "And this is my friend, Kevin Levin."

"Sup." He nodded.

"It is nice to meet you both. I am Tenya Iida." He bowed.

"And I'm Ochaco Uraraka." She said, giving a warm smile.
