26th October 2019

It was a cool day in autumn. Or that's what the day was supposed to like.

It was Belles' last week of break from school, one last week of freedom before having to return to the most dreadful place on the planet.

She hated school as much as one hates going to the dentists office.

She had to move schools. The bullying at her old elementary was revolting.

Nevertheless, she was enjoying her peace. No one muttering in her ears that she's unworthy of love or commenting on her outfit that day. Just pure lust.

Her father even attempted to make her year by taking her to a show of her favourite movie of all time, Finding Nemo.

She had begged her mum to tag along but complained she had too many work related issues, so she had no choice but to stay home...

There was finally a cinema in Marseille that was playing it, as the town never got anything like it.

She enjoyed herself, thought she had hit a peak in her life.

The chairs never felt any better. For some reason, they we're much better quality than ever.

Her selfcare she did before leaving was almost as if it was to be called 'legendary'.

She always adored when the vibrant clownfish appeared on her screen,  and any chance she got to rewatch it, she did.

It was all her life depended on. It had taught her that there was so much more to life than she knew. There was a meaning for everything.

The lights then dimmed. Signalling that she was about to feel nostalgia of the warmhearted, cinematic adventure showed in the movie.

The screen appeared with true oceanic blue colours, where unforgettable characters were being presented. But to no surprise, Belle already knew who everyone was.

The vivid animation and enchanting soundtrack transported everyone to the magical sea-creature world, where even the younger children could experience the fatherly, son bond in front of them.

Laughter echoes through the theatre as the lovable characters go on an uneasy adventure, encountering even more hilarious moments.

And suddenly the title of the wonderous movie is put up and on do the end scene credits flood all over.

An hour and forty minutes felt too short. If it were possible, she could be here all day nonstop.

                                -

The day did come to an end, unfortunately. Her father and herself went out to have some heartfelt dinner at Belle's favourite restaurant filled with Italian cuisines.

Iconic as she has never met an Italian person before, yet her love for pasta only grew with age.

They then hoped on the car to start a journey back home; to which they could only disgust so much.

There were many people standing around their home. And then they saw the ambulance parked in the driveway. Owned by Belle's mum and dad.

He quickly jumped out, afraid of what might've happened. It was one Belle did not want to hear.

She sat patiently. Only now she want alone, tears struck her eyes in ways she did not know could happen. She knew what was about to go down.

"El, she's gone.."

Three words and her world completely shattered.

Her dad tried to calm her down, but she wouldn't do anything to help herself. She knew her mum had heart conditions, with no cures or ways to prevent death, but she didn't know how to make amends with the passing of the strongest women she'd ever known.

She ended up staying awake in her mums bedroom all night. Her father allowed her to do so, but she didn't want him there. She felt he had taken away her last day with her mother, so that way he slept on the couch downstairs.

He didn't even seem sad that his wife passed away. Not a single tear was heard...
