Chapter 4: The death of Min Seol Ah

The next day 

The classroom buzzed with chatter as students filled every seat. Ha-Yun sat quietly on the right side, just below the twins' table. Not in the mood to talk, she pulled out a book to read. Her attention shifted when she overheard Jenny talking to someone. She lifted her head from the book to see Min Seol Ah standing nearby. Relief washed over Ha-Yun—Min Seol Ah appeared to be okay after the incident.

Their eyes met for a moment before Min Seol Ah walked over and sat down next to Ha-Yun. The surprise was evident in Ha-Yun's expression. Why would she sit next to her after everything that had happened?

"Don't mess with me. I have no intention of letting you sway me. So let's just pretend we don't know each other," Min Seol Ah said coldly.

"Who do you think you are? Do you think you'll be able to last here with just your pride?" Eun-Byeol said meanwhile Seok-Kyung getting up close to Min Seol Ah.

"You're a disgrace to Cheong Ah Arts High School. Get lost," Seok-Kyung added in a menacing voice.

Suddenly, Min Seol Ah grabbed Seok-Kyung by the collar, shocking everyone.

"I told you not to mess with me," Min Seol Ah said, her voice firm. "Why? Are you scared?"

"You'd better let go of her," Seok-Hoon yelled, his voice filled with tension.

Before Ha-Yun could intervene and get Min Seol Ah off Seok-Kyung, the teacher walked in, and everyone quickly returned to their seats. As class began, Min Seol Ah was immediately called out of the classroom. Ha-Yun suspected that Miss Cheon Seo-jin might expel her, but there was nothing she could do about it, so she focused on the lesson.

The day passed quickly, and as Ha-Yun and her friends walked back to Hera Palace, they heard a commotion nearby. Curiosity piqued, they headed towards the noise, only to see a girl their age smashing gifts that Ha Eun-Byeol had received, screaming at her for cheating her way into Cheong Ah High School. Ha-Yun recognized the girl as someone she had bumped into on the day of the admission performance test.

"Bae Ro-Na? What are you doing?" Je-ni yelled as she and Seok-Kyung rushed over.

"Do you know her?" Seok-Kyung asked.

"She's first on the waiting list," Je-ni explained.

Miss Cheon Seo-jin emerged from her office, and Eun-Byeol immediately ran to her mother's side. An argument broke out between Miss Cheon Seo-jin and Bae Ro-Na.

"I won't move a single step until you show me the scores," Bae Ro-Na demanded, lying down on the floor in protest.

"Hey, what are you doing? Get up! Get up!" Eun-Byeol yelled, trying to pull Bae Ro-Na up from the ground.

Bae Ro-Na pushed Eunbyeol off, causing her to fall. Everyone was shocked as Eunbyeol appeared to have injured her arm. Miss Cheon Seo-jin immediately rushed to her daughter, worried. She yelled at Bae Ro-Na, and the situation ended with Bae Ro-Na being dragged out of the palace.

After the commotion, everyone returned to their apartments as if nothing had happened.

When Ha-Yun entered her apartment, she saw Mr. Seo and noticed he looked troubled.

"Mr. Seo, why do you look so down?" Ha-Yun asked, concerned.

"Miss Ha-Yun, please change out of your uniform. We need to go somewhere. It seems we have a troublesome situation to resolve," Mr. Seo said in a serious tone.
