- KATSUKI -
- THREE MONTHS LATER, WINTER BREAK -
Winter break was new, interesting, colourful. I didn't remember anything like this happening before.
Back at the laboratory, we didn't celebrate holidays. We didn't even celebrate our birthdays (that's probably why we didn't know our ages). So, getting to celebrate this, especially back with our parents (or, rather, my parents), is amazing.
Zuku is practically vibrating with energy beside me, waiting for the cookies to finish baking in the oven so he can help Mitsuki, my mother, decorate them. He's grown more talkative now, always smiling and thinking of new ideas.
Masaru is putting the last few ornaments on the tree. We met him a few weeks after meeting with my mother and him and Zuku had a long conversation with mostly Zuku talking about U.A. and asking questions about his mother.
Somewhere upstairs, Aizawa was helping Eri wrap up presents to put under the tree later. Eri had practically begged him to let her stay here for Christmas, seemingly not wanting to be separated from us. So, now both he and Eri are joining us for the holidays this year.
Zuku turned to me, smiling brightly. "Can you decorate cookies with me, Kacchan?"
I nodded. "If Eri's finished with her presents by the time they've finished baking, maybe we could do it with her too."
"Yeah! Like siblings!" he beamed.
I smiled. "Like siblings."
Maybe U.A. was, is, good for us. Maybe we can finally go home. Maybe we can finally be home.
