"So, how do we do this?"
Eddie asked, sitting on the edge of Richie Tozier's bed.
Outside the seclusion of Richie's bedroom, the sun had set below the clouds, filling the sky with an ethereal glow. Purple streaks of light bled in through the curtains, the only hint that a world existed beyond this room, beyond the two of them.
"I'll sit here." Richie pulled a suit case over, placed it directly across from Eddie. "And you'll lean down to kiss me."
"And?"
"And I'll meet you in the middle." Richie smiled at him. While it was reassuring, Eddie's stomach still churned in turmoil.
"Aren't you scared?" He asked, to which Richie answered by the shaking of his head. "I got you, eds."
Eddie smiled sheepishly, reaching forward to gently take Richie's glasses from his face.
"Ok," he heaved, placing the glasses beside him. "Start the countdown."
Richie, needing no further encouragement, patted Eddie's small hand, and began to count."3," he breathed, meeting his young friend's eyes. There was a fear in them, accompanied by the wildest curiosity.
"2," Eddie's heart rate sped up. They had no idea their hearts beat in unison.
"1," Richie finished, leaning forward to
