You make your way over to the window sill, still sleepy and rubbing your eyes, to see that the note you had left was still there. A sense of unease fills you, as the stalker hadn't written a new note in response to yours.

"Weird" you thought.

You stand by the window sill, a feeling of confusion and worry running through you. It was strange that the stalker hadn't left a new note in response to yours. You tried to shake off the feeling, but it kept nagging at the back of your mind.

This wasn't over though. Whoever this is knows who you are and aren't playing games with you. Especially the necklace, that simple piece of jewelry that had been the catalyst of all this, seemed to hold some sort of significance. It had become a symbol, a clue that might lead to the identity of your stalker.

Digging through the trash, you take out the necklace and look at it again. Nothing was suspicious about it besides that it had your initial on it. However, you fully take the box apart this time to see if there was anything in or on the back of it.

There was nothing.

You sigh, taking it out of the box and deciding to put it around your neck, matching the one with your mom's initial, and get ready for the day.

As you walk down the stairs and make your way into the main room, you see Ghost, Soap, König, Logan, Horangi, and Keegan all gathered together in a small group, quietly discussing something with serious expressions on their faces.

"What's all the whispering about?" You ask.

The group all looks up as they hear you approach. Soap is the first one to speak up, a slight frown on his face. "Ah, just some stuff we need to sort out. Nothing for you to worry about."

"Stuff like?..." You say with a confused smile.

Soap glances at the other men before looking back at you, a hint of hesitation in his eyes. Then, he shrugs his shoulders. "It's just some work stuff. Nothing too serious. Just, eh, ops planning and all."

"Ah, so you're going on a mission" you say and raise your eyebrows.

Soap nods in confirmation. The other men are all silent, waiting for a signal from Soap. Ghost's expression is serious, no emotion on his face. "Yeah. We're going out on a mission tomorrow. Shouldn't be anything crazy, just reconnaissance."

"I'll leave you guys be then" you say in a jealous tone because you weren't able to go on a mission yet. You glare at your dad and then walk back to your room.

The guys all watch you as you turn to walk back up to your room, Soap looking concerned at your jealousy. Ghost follows close behind, a look of concern in his eyes as he sees the look you gave him before walking upstairs.

Ghost follows you upstairs, closing the door to your room behind him before speaking. "We need to talk."

"About what?" You say as you slump in your bed.

Ghost walks over to your bed and sits down on the edge, looking at you with a serious expression on his face. "You can't go on these kinds of Ops yet. You're not ready."

You roll your eyes.

Ghost sees your eye roll, his serious expression unwavering. "I'm not sayin' this to be mean, I'm saying it to protect you. You don't have the experience or training for these kinds of missions."

"I know dad, I know" you sit up and look at him with a concerned look on your face. "I'm gonna be worried about you while you're gone, all of you guys"

Ghost's expression softens as he sees the concerned look on your face. He reaches out and places a gentle hand on your shoulder. "I know. It's natural to be worried, but we'll be fine. We've done this plenty of times before."
