The trio knew that they were no longer alone when they heard the door creak, only to find Jackie with bags of baby accessories that was once Rose’s. “What about Mickey and Torchwood? Please do not tell me that you are leaving again….Rose, you are pregnant! What would happen if you and the baby got hurt?” Rose assured her mum that she was not leaving for another adventure. “It would be safer for me to stay here than get caught in the crossfire. Baffled, Jackie questioned them about what was happening, “Rose, what are you talking about? Crossfire? Safer to stay here? What’s going on? Rose?”
The very pregnant Rose explained everything to her mum, only to get sidetracked by the Eleventh Doctor, “And who might you be? And please don’t tell me you’re one of those freakshows that got me daughter pregnant.” The human Doctor explained that the visitor was a Time Lord, like himself. Then, Jackie slapped both him and the new Doctor on the face. “So, you mean you two got my Rose pregnant? Shame on you!” The human Doctor calmed Jackie down, “No, it’s just me, Jackie. I’m absolutely positive that I’m the father....”
A few hours passed as the Two Doctors, Rose, Jackie, Captain Jack Harkness and his team, “Torchwood”, Mickey, Rose’s ex-boyfriend, and River Song, met in the couple’s basement, where their base was held in case of a paranormal disturbance. “I want to thank all of you who volunteered to come to this emergency meeting. We apologize if we’re taking time out of your busy schedules, but our world’s in danger…specifically, our future. Recently, I have been having extreme nightmares about a bloodbath that is going to occur if we do not act quickly.” There was a brief silence before Rose continued for her fiancée, “A few days ago, a man who claimed to be the Doctor, appeared at our doorstep and collapsed. We were suspicious of who the man really was, but we both discovered that our visitor was indeed the Doctor that we all have accompanied in his past travels. He may appear different, but this man, the Doctor was actually the one who has brought all of us together tonight. Doctor, if you would please…” As the human Doctor and Rose sat down, the Eleventh Doctor took their place. “What Miss Tyler and her betrothed said about me, is, indeed true. I am the Doctor, the Doctor am I. Despite the fact that Rose is here tonight, well, besides the fact that she does, indeed, live here, Miss Tyler is unable to take part due to her pregnancy. However, we, as in my clone, Rose, and myself, have decided that she will be in charge of handling this mission. Luckily, all teams will have an even amount of members, including my clone….and my predecessors, ahem…our predecessors-“
“Wait, what do you exactly mean by your predecessors? Aren’t they, you know…dead?” Eleven answered Mickey’s question, telling him that he was getting to the part. “While Ricky does, indeed, have a point that my predecessors have gone before me, there is a way to resurrect them. However, only three of us know where The Key is located, but only two of us are able to find it on Gallifrey. But, we have to act quickly before The Key falls into the wrong hands. If that happens, then we are at a deadly disadvantage. So, if you’re up for the challenge, say I.” As everyone in the room cheered, the Eleventh Doctor concluded by reminding them that they were to leave the next day, the sooner and the better. After the meeting ended and everyone left, the Eleventh Doctor and the couple retired for the night. The human Doctor and Rose were cuddled in front of the fireplace. As the human Doctor stroked Rose’s disheveled hair, he asked her about New Earth. “Do you remember the spot where I proposed to you?” Turning to the Doctor’s side, Rose nodded. “That was our very first adventure together. I loved every single minute of it.”
Flashback to New Earth as the newly regenerated Tenth Doctor and Rose stepped out of the TARDIS. The Doctor began to explain to Rose about where they were,”It's the year five billion and twenty-three. We’re the in Galaxy M-87 and this? This is New Earth.” Speechless, Rose looked around and was amazed, “That’s just….that’s just….” Smiling, the Doctor commented that it wasn’t bad, wasn’t bad at all. “This is amazing…I’ll never get used to this. Never. Different ground beneath my feet, different sky. What’s that smell?” Picking up a piece of grass, the Doctor held it under Rose’s nose and told her that it was Apple Grass, “Mm, Apple Grass. It’s beautiful….Oh, I love this. Can I just say, travelling with you, I love it.” The Doctor replied that he also loved it, “Me too, me too.”
(End flashback)
The Doctor wrapped his arm around Rose’s waist and responded, “That’s why I chose that spot to propose. After all, we’ve been together for a very long time.” Laughing, Rose told the human Doctor that it was kind of hard to say no, since he changed her life and she changed his. “Out of all of the companions, why me?” The Doctor looked into Rose’s eyes and explained to her that she made him realize how to form such close bonds instead of traveling through time alone. “Doctor, what would happen if you don’t come back? I’ve lost you so many times already; I just don’t want us to be separated ever again.” The Doctor kissed Rose on the forehead. “Our love is eternal….we are fated to be together forever. This war will not break us apart, I promise, Rose Tyler. Before I met you, fear held me back from opening up to anyone. So many times when I had a new companion, I had to hold back a part of me. I was afraid to reveal myself of how I really felt. But, it’s now a bad memory. A very, very bad memory. You have to know when you can trust someone you deeply and truly care about with your deepest secrets. Trust that your family will be there to protect you and trust yourself to take the risk But, I realized that trust can’t be blind. I had to take care of myself from the unknown. To guard my heart. The day that we first met, I realized that someone was guarding my heart along with me because once I found the strength in myself. I was ready to find my love and turn it into something great-“ Before the Doctor could finish, Rose was already asleep. “Sleep well, my love.”
