Chapter Eight, Moonquake Capture
Back on the TARDIS, everyone on board were tracking what could possibly be their worst enemies. “So, Captain Jack, what are we exactly looking for? Hoixes? Daleks? Cybermen?” Jack told Mickey that he wasn’t so sure himself, “Whenever we’re with the Doctor, we can expect anything.” All of a sudden, the TARDIS began to violently shake. “What’s happening? We’re not dematerializing, are we?” Shaking his head, Jack yelled that they were experiencing a moonquake, “They often occur on Gallifrey, but they only last a minute!” After the moonquake ended, everyone slowly got up and Jack asked if everyone was all right, “Someone call the Doctors and see if they’re okay as well.”
Meanwhile, as the two Doctors were exploring the base, the Tenth Doctor had a chill, “Do you have that feeling that we’re being…watched?” The Eleventh Doctor shook his head and told him that it was just the Gallifreyan bats, “You’re not afraid of the dark, are you?” Scoffing, the Tenth Doctor told the Eleventh Doctor that he wasn’t scared, “I just get these…chills. Hell, if we were being watched, then we-huh? Hold on, I’m getting a call from Jack.” As the Tenth Doctor answered Jack’s call, the Eleventh Doctor began to look around, “Hey, Jack. Got anything?” However, the call was breaking up due to a bad connection. “Yo, Harkness…do you read me?” After several attempts, Jack finally answered, “Hey, Doc. We haven’t found anything yet but we just experienced some sort of moonquake a while ago. Did you guys feel anything?” The Tenth Doctor replied that they didn’t have any after effects, “Are you sure it was a moonquake and not those Rhino aliens?” Unsure, Jack told the Doctor that the TARDIS was fine, “Any luck on your end?” The Tenth Doctor told Jack that besides having the feeling that they were being watched, “Say, you don’t think the Daleks would still be hiding around here, right?”
Unsure, Jack told the Tenth Doctor that they had to be somewhere. After the Time War, a few of the Daleks were sent back to Gallifrey. Then, Jack abruptly hung up on the Doctor, leaving him frustrated. “I hate it when he does that…Hey, Eleven, did you find anything else? Yo, Eleven…..where did you go?” Then, the Tenth Doctor heard footsteps nearby, “Ex-terminate!Ex-terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrimmiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnaaaaaaaate! The Doctor must be exterminated! Daleks will rule the world!” Sighing, the Tenth Doctor told himself that they were screwed.
