Y/N

The silence that followed Ryo's departure was heavy, almost unbearable. My heart was still pounding from the confrontation, my hands trembling slightly as I stood in the aftermath of it all. The air felt thick with tension, and I could feel the weight of my colleagues' concerned gazes on me.

Atsushi was the first to break the silence. He approached me cautiously, his eyes full of worry.

"Y/N," he said softly. "can I have Kyouka's knife back?"

I didn't answer. My movements mechanical, and handed the knife to him. Atsushi took it with a gentle, reassuring smile, but I could see the concern etched in his features.

Dazai stepped forward, his usual playful demeanor replaced with a rare seriousness.

"We should leave you for a moment, give you time to process everything." he suggested, his voice uncharacteristically gentle.

Tanizaki chimed in. "We'll be at the café downstairs. You know where to find us."

I didn't reply, still staring at the ground, lost in my thoughts. The magnitude of what had just happened was overwhelming, and I felt like I was drowning in a sea of emotions.
Kunikida adjusted his glasses, his expression thoughtful and supportive.

"If you ever recover from what happened—which I think is half possible—you can just go down there, and we'll be with you. Or if not, you can just call us."

For a moment, I remained silent, my gaze fixed on the floor. Then, I nodded slightly, acknowledging his words.

"Alright then." Kunikida said, and I heard the others starting to walk toward the door.

Just then, I felt a wave of desperation wash over me. I couldn't bear to be alone right now. As I heard Edogawa's footsteps pass by me, I reached out and grabbed his sleeve, my hand trembling. He stopped, and I could sense his eyes on me, waiting.

"Can you... stay?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. I didn't look up, but I knew he was looking at me, and I could feel the weight of everyone's gaze as they paused.

For a moment, the room was still. Then, I heard Edogawa's quiet, understanding voice.

"Of course." and I heard the others finally step out of the office, leaving the two of us alone.
